I tried feet but I think they prefer metric.

nope.. and how would you talk to them directly? do they talk to new/small creaters or is it just TurtleMe who prolly has their number.

There are a lot of new stories daily. But I know I saw a post last month about how staff picks work. I mean there's only so much staff so even if your novel or comic is someone's cup of tea. It has to be on their radar.

Maybe we can attempt to summon them?

@ratique we need your wisdom.....Is there a way to ask or see the criteria to get someone on the HQ to read your work?

Well, i don't really care about staff picks. i doubt my novel is good enough to make front page after only writing for a month. But i'd like them to read it few chapters and leave a critique.

"you gotta keep the chanting and dont stop holding hands until the medium eyes becomes white"

I'm not sure they do that. Dont get me wrong I haven't been here very long. But what exactly are you looking for? I mean each staff probably has their own preference so what they think about your story may be different.

I'm sure in a more general sense as staff they wouldn't want to make any statement that might deter you or any other creator so they would have to proceed with caution.

Lol, I'm a big boy I Can take a bit of criticism. In terms of books, I'm sure they've seen a ton and would be to perfect gage as to whether your book is good or not. Am I wrong?

A few might be professional writers themselves with 10years plus experience.

Well that makes sense. You could always try to PM someone or something.

i'll just hope they see this, doing any more sounds like a pain. If they don't then they do if they do. Yay!. but it's cool either way.

Staff Pics are a real thing.

There is no official channel for showcasing a book to the Tapas Staff as far as I've seen)
-- and probably should not be considering that we're talking about a small staff. Reading all those submissions would become their full time jobs.

There might be a contest/event near the end of the year around NaNoWriMo time in which the staff specifically reads in order to recruit new writers into a promoted category, the Premium Series. Some years that happens and some years it doesn't.

lol if i have to wait that long then forget it. by that time i might have already finished my book and their opinion as expert as it might be will be completely useless to me.

@QingDom They have criteria for pitching to premium. They can be found here:

You know what's funny somehow I confused some of the premium criteria with the staff pick stuff. I was looking forward to hitting ten episodes only to read a post saying stay picks require 15 episodes.

If I'm being honest that hurt a little T.T
