100% comics. if im not working towards a narrative (ie thumbnailing for my comic, character designing for my comic, drawing my comic) i cant be arsed. i hate doing fanart, i hate standalone illustrations - if its not being motivated by a larger Thing how do i decide the pose, the setting, the anything? why should i bother? it... makes monetising my work a lil difficult
when im working up to a new project that becomes 50% comics and 50% tests though - the only time i can get myself to do stuff thats a bit more throwaway is if im doing studies or testing in a new medium. over the summer i wanna do more standalone stuff in monoprint and woodcut, for example.
rn my weekly layout looks like this (though im considering shifting it around):
sat-sun: webcomic
monday: spill
tues-wed: graphic novel
thur-fri: work
