How do you make a comic outline?

Recently I've just finished writing out the story for a webcomic that I want to create. I'm in the middle of rereading the story to make sure it's all cohesive, but I do plan on hiring an artist for when Im ready to upload to webtoon/tapas. To only problem is Im not really sure how to make a easy script for an artist to follow. Is there like a guide that I can find somewhere? Cause I don't really know how they'd feel if I sent them an entire chapters.

It's a good idea to sketch layouts for your comic and visualize how you want your characters and setting to look.

You'll likely need to refine your process when you find an artist to work with, and really tailor it to their communication style.

Sometimes, all you need is a script of dialog. If you have specific camera angles or emotions/body language you want to have happen, write that into the script with the corresponding dialogue.

I can't be more helpful since I work alone on my projects.

Like ZombieOwl, I work alone, so my usual process probably wouldn't work, but...

You might be able to take a page out of a screenwriter's book? Seems like they have some standard formatting they use, and the end result is similar -- a visual product like a movie/TV show.

Tthe information they need to convey is similar, too. Dialogue, important actions, information about exteriors/interiors, etc.

This is what would work great for me as an artist:

-Short summary of the story
-The full script
-World description
-Character description
-Location descrition
-Script like a screenplay with dialogue
-Storyboard with panels
-Moods (Pictures) for everything

The storyboard with panels doesn´t have to be super detailed, for me as an arstist it is better to
have some freedom to develop my own vision of the comic. But the storyboard should contain
what you want to happen in the panel. One action per panel.
You don´t have to draw the panel, you can also write into the panel.
When you draw you can use simple stick figures

Communication, giving the important information is the key to a good writer / artist relationship

Thanks for your reply. I wish that I could draw so I could just go at the project alone, but I don't have the skill. Hopefully I'll be able to refine my process properly.
