I started drawing when I was 19 yrs old, two years ago. I feel like it's a bit late for starting on this, as my friends draw since they were on elementary school. I haven't of course reached their level, not at all. So starting my own webcomic and sharing it feels like I don't have the right to try it. I know, that's kinda wrong, but still I can't help it. Every strip I share on Instagram, I think "well, I can't catch up with all this great group of professional artists, maybe I shouldn't share it here". But the process and joy of creation also depends on my artistic and personal growth, so keeping everything to myself wouldn't help it.
Also with choosing my content. I wish I had enough ideas to keep posting regularly, but I decided when I started Flatlander that I was going to tell only stories that really mattered to me, somehow. So I'm happy with it. Also my friends are really supportive. I know, one day, we're all gonna do great.
