How easy is it to make friends on Tapas?

Meeting through the forums usually lets me get to know a lot of people... We just end up in the same thread and before you know it we're replying to each other and even subbing to and stanning each other's comics lol

People are pretty decent here. You won't find any hostility unless you're purposely mean or insulting. I won't pretend there aren't the odd rude people or cold self-promoters but those people are usually dealt with by mods, and it's very easy to get in touch with a mod to sort out any issues.

So long as you are kind and honest, people are gonna like you here.

id say its pretty easy to make friends on tapas. aside from being involved in the forums, theres a few discord groups going around as well.

engage meaningfully with people - comment on comics you like, respond to questions and contribute to forum topics - and youll soon be well known and well liked.

It's surprisingly easy to make friends here. Mind you, the forums aren't perfect, but for the most part everyone is really nice and are eager to support each other as fellow creators, so I like that.

That's just flat out too bad. I had subscribed to Baton Pass. I was looking forward to it. You decided that you didn't have the time for it and wanted to pull up stakes before you got too committed, and that's understandable -- even admirable.

Maybe you are not connecting with people here because it's a forum set up mostly for content creators. If you don't have a series with which people may identify you, you're not as memorable. It's not you so much as the situation. I'm just spitballing here.

Maybe we should set up a thread for recruiting reading buddies. We have threads for subscription trades and comment trades and share what accomplishments we make outside of Tapas, but we don't really have a thread (as far as I've seen) which is just for people who want to discuss what they are reading.

thanks for not getting mad. i was worried that i'd receive violent reactions but there are none so far i'm really sorry for letting you down. and i too noticed that people who are friends here are creators. although i've talked to the same people for a few times, we just remain strangers to each other because i don't have a series to share. not sure about finding reading buddies in threads. discord servers for specific comics/novels are very effective especially if there's a big fanbase. i myself have a webtoon family on discord and we're very comfortable with each other. too bad my favorite creators don't have discord
