Pfff wow, I know all those episodes. I'm not a hardcore MLP fan, but I've watched a lot of the show. The bit about forgiveness doesn't erase the past was a good message!
Is there a stigma to the show? I know there were some bad episodes, but it wasn't as bad as the stuff I saw with SU. The great thing about storytelling is there is so much you can do send out a message, or represent something/someone. When done right children's media can have such a soft approach to difficult topics.
(Yeah, while the video has more of a neutral discussion, it errs on the side of the importance of discussing mental health in spite of the possible danger. In the long run I feel it's more harmful to not bring it up at all, that leads to even more misunderstanding and misrepresentation.)
Lmao! Yeah, it's still pretty bad. At least education around the subject is bad since it's so touchy, and no one wants to teach people about it. (Just like sex ed.)
Pleeease tell me her dungeon is called the Sane Asylum, Insanitarium, or Sound of Mind Bin and she locks up totally mentally healthy people to make them insane.
