How long did it take to get around 25+ subscibers?

to me, took around 2 months and a half.
If do not have any contacts, it may be hard to get it.
To you get more subs, you have to interact with other artists and readers.
Ok, you can just do a "subs for subs", but it's kinda artificial, since they will not be actual readers.

I'm also a novel writer and I know that more people read comics but my artistic talent isn't good for now
And I try to interact with many people as I can. I'm mainly asking about how long it took to get around 25 subscribers just to know what to expect.

Hi... it took me some time. I promoted my novel here after the first 10 subs. I don't know how my first subscribers found me... It took me about a month.
My novel is this one, btw. You can share yours too so I may check yours. Wish you success. and don't give up! I have been reading very good novels and comics

i'm from the comic side --- It took me a day to reach 25+ --- but to be fair, it just so happened that I released the teaser before Halloween and the first official episode in time of Halloween and my comic has vampires in it so I guess it's the time where people might be into looking for Halloween themed reading list(?) -- also I promoted a Halloween themed teaser on all of my social media handles in something like a countdown ^^

Ahh, I see. Yep, yep. I think expecting around a month or two to reach 25 is fair enough; not too high or too low of an expectation. But, well, everyone has their own pace. I hope the best for your series~

I got to 25 subs last week. It took me about 3(?) months.
Post a link to your work in your forum bio. It helps. I try a little over on twitter as well, but I just try to have as much fun as I can and not fuss about the subs that much.

In our case, it took us I think 2 months after we first stared publishing on Tapas to reach 25 subscribe. I think it's really easy to obtain 25 subs so long as you're frequent with your story posting and also engaging with your followers.

It took me 2-3 months. I didn't know anyone here but promoted a little on the forums. My style isn't the most popular, so I think you can grow faster depending on genre ^^

It actually only took 5 days for me. The fact that I had been updating every day did help a lot though.

I lost count. It took me 3-4 months to get 25 subscribers and also 5-6 months to make it to 30. And I update with two pages a week. And that's coming from a debut webcomic last year. How does sound because I think it's not bad for a first-time creator.

Well it took me a decently long time to get to 25, started around august and hit that mark at around the end of December. I guess it was around 5 months? Yea, I wasn't too lucky with getting any, but as things are I guess its fine, still at around 28 right now so nothing much has changed

Comic side here! I took me a very long while. I started January 2020 and didn't get 25 until January 2021 To be fair to myself though, I didn't update very often. I'm trying to work on that lol.

Ah, I'm not sure how useful my metric will be since I do comics, but looking back it looks like 25 would have been reached sometime in my 2nd month of weekly updates. Many many of my initial readers were people that I met on these forums

I've been posting on Tapas for three weeks now and I've managed to snag 7 subscribers. To me, 7 subs in three weeks isn't a bad start considering it's my first time posting over here. I've only just started really interacting in the forums and promoting where I can so I'm not quite sure how that will affect things yet but obviously it can't hurt anything.

Definitely do listen to the others and avoid sub-for-sub threads. I promise you'd much rather have active readers versus an empty number.

I took me ten months, peaking on August when I released one of the most intense chapters of the comic before reuploading it.

I'd say promoting on reddit and IG is the most helpful, and perhaps twitter if you upload attractive pictures for its format (had a thougher time with my comic on twitter than on IG, and viceversa with fanart).

It took me about a month for my novel to break 25 subscribers. I promo daily on Facebook & Twitter, and I check these forums daily while trying to reply to at least one thread. Any comments I get on my novel I do my best to reply to them or at the very least heart them. I update my story every Friday, and it seems to help if you can maintain at least one episode scheduled so people know you're series is alive and well!
But I really don't know what really works because I've gotten over 30 views on the most random in between days.
I didn't have any base to start with other than the two friends that kept encouraging me to publish. One of those friends started posting his story at the same time (@HippieGhost) and it took him about a month as well to get his first 25. Both of us avoid the sub for sub because inactive readers does nothing to help you, and it can actually be extremely disheartening when you update the story and get no response from them.

Edit: I also just started posting on Instagram to promote as well and I started using my Twitch to promo (had no followers on there before hand) . So It really comes down to luck and how much time you invest I think

About 5 months on Tapas and 1 month on Webtoon, posting weekly. On Tapas we post under "Romance" and on Webtoon it's under "Romance" and "Historical" - my pet theory is that the double genre there gives more visibility.
