How Long Do You Take Time Off After Finishing a Page?

So, after spending hours or perhaps days, how long do you take a break after you finish a single page?

Do you rest up for few hours, a day, 2 days... before jumping back in and continue working?

I actually don't take breaks between pages. My comic time of the day is only for a certain amount of time--what I finish in that time is what I finish.

Usually a few days... although my time off is mostly eaten up by my actual work/college

I usually try to take a day or two off after finishing a page. Better to sacrifice a bit of time resting my hands and brain than risk burnout or an injury.

Well, it depends. It can take me more than three hours to finish a page (it may take longer in some cases) and right after that, I take a break of five hours or more. It all depends on how much free time you have, and if nobody disturbs you

Yeah, I'll take 2 or 3 days off depending on how my body is feeling. My arms & body dont bounce back like they used to...

Around 10-15 minutes. But after finishing the quota of the day (usually 3 pages), I take a break for the rest of the day.

I don't really take breaks because I don't have a buffer anymore and it takes a lot of time to finish a page A day or two break would mean no update that week.

When I did have a buffer I got really lazy, but now that there's an actual deadline I have to meet I finish pages more consistently. Lol, I guess I need a little pressure to get any work done.

I usually do a bit per day whenever I get free time.
When a strip is close to finish I take a couple of days off and celebrate with a beer. Then I get the itch to do more!
Currently though I've been manic and doing a couple of strips per week.
I've been buffering so will be taking a long break over December.

While moreso with novels, I usually write at least two chapters a minimum before taking some time off. At least a few hours or a few days depending on how much I poured into a chapter.

Entirely depends on what day of the week I finish. I update on Thursday, and wanna make sure that buffer isn't depleted. So if I finish on Monday, I technically have 3 days of off time (but I usually work on something else in the mean time.) and if I finish on Thursday or, forbid, Friday, then I just leap right into the next page.

What's a "break"?

Seriously though, I work in like 28 page chunks and chip away at it for an hour a day. Have no idea how long shit takes really. But when I finish a chapter I end up taking a week off of working but it isn't intentional.
I think it's because I'm so fixated on finishing the chapter that when I'm done my brain goes, "what now?" And I don't have the answer right away.
Been horribly behind on my reading so maybe I should take advantage of that and read a novel between each chapter?

Depends, kinda. If I'm in "work mode" then after finishing a page or batch, I'll usually wait until the next day to start sketching the next set (or maybe 1 or 2 days later, depending). But that's mostly just because by the time I'm done coloring pages I've usually already been working on comics for a while that day and am ready/need to do other stuff.

But I'm a big believer in taking breaks when you need them, so if I finish a page and aren't mentally prepared to keep doing more comics, then I might take several days or a week off, depending. I've been feeling this a lot with my current project- It's somewhat episodic, so after I'm done with one episode although there's a lot more script ahead of me to draw, it doesn't feel so much like I need to get to the next page right away since it's its own thing. So I've been taking a few days between finishing one episode and starting the next.

Yesterday I finished a page (painting), today I have not done anything regarding my comic so far.

So it's not an exact number of hours or days, is mostly when I'm motivated.

I write, so I wouldn't exactly compare it to drawing, but writing or drawing is my time off. I don't really get to choose when I write in that regard because I also have to read/write for university.

Hmm, as I've only really just started I can't say I've taken a single night off so far... that's probably not the best of ideas though, huh?

Haven't got a buffer though so gotta keep plugging away! ^_^

I don't really take time off between pages, I take time off between batches. I like to work on my comic in chunks, and complete an entire scene or chapter all in one go. So I'll do fifteen pages all at the same time, pencilling all fifteen, then inking them all, then coloring them all... Then once the entire batch is finished, I'll take a break for a few weeks to work on other things before jumping right back into drawing pages again.

I have a system where after I finish a page I sketch one. Not the next page, because I have about 3 pages of sketches. SO once I finished page 29, for example, I sketched page 33. That way I can satiate my desire to sketch and desire to paint. Then I usually start working on the next page immediately until I hit a road block and stop for the day.
