How long does a chapter take you?

I'm just curious how long a fully rendered chapter takes you and what kind of style you go for? How long are the panels?

One chapter takes me about a year. I post page-a-week in English and split the chapters into five parts for French so it doesn't take quite as long.

Each page has maximum 10 panels and chapters have between 30 and 40 pages each.

I use episodes to describe my comics. Each episode is weekly, consisting of about 30 panels. I use a cartoony look because its fast and I can make expressive looking faces. The current comics is 5 books, which I'm wrapping up book 3 now. Each book is about 25 episodes.

If I'm able to work on it full time, a single chapter (which is +/- 115 pages) takes me about a year to finish.

But because these days I'm no longer able to fully focus my attention on my comic series, it takes roughlet twice as long.

I go for full color, in a stylistic mix between western and japanese animation.

My comic chapters are shorter bc I am writing a comedy however because I don't use the multiply layer when shading it takes me 2-3 weeks given I can typically make 5 pages a week

This might be directed towards comics, so I hope it's ok I share my input for webnovels!

My "schedule" aims to get a chapter done once or twice a month. There will be spurts of inspiration and excitement where I might get three chapters a month: two uploaded and a third one close to being finished.

I think it's not a bad idea to get something at the beginning and the end of the month. Life happens though and Im greatful that audiences are very respectful about delays

Manga-ish style (black and white with minimal greys).

When I started out, I wanted to be able to consistently finish chapters in a certain time frame & decided to aim for chapters being ~20 pages and coming out every two months. (At the time I'd imagined that once I improved I'd be able to finish a whole chapter in a month but. lol. lmao, even.)

I'm sometimes a bit late or will skip an update if I have too much going on, but I've been pretty good with keeping on track. ^-^

My pages usually have like, 6 or 7 panels. Sometimes more... every once in a while less...

Will's comment made me think it might be worth mentioning, that time doesn't include writing or page thumbnails. Giving myself a deadline is really the only reason I ever make anything (and if it's too long between writing a chapter and drawing it then I have too much time to change my mind about stuff). Generally I have a first version of a whole story arc written, then re-write and do thumbnails the month before I need to start inking that chapter.

If by fully rendered you mean with shadows, lightning and good background; it is absolutely unrealistic to make full chapters like that without a team working with you. I started off by putting a lot of effort into every panel before realizing I couldn't keep up. The best thing to do is keep it simple except for a few panels in every chapters so that you can post weekly.
I personally have a bit of a weird schedule since I spend a week doing nothing but scripts then the rest of the month drawing the chapters. It usually takes me around 10 days to finish a 40 page long chapter.

In general I can do four to five full colour panels per day. Six if I buckle down. Eight if I marathon it.

About a week, sometimes less. I decided to make a 4-panel slice of life comic with simple cel shading because I knew I wanted to post weekly. It's simple enough to be relatively quick, but it still looks good

Right now with my classes going on? Hard to say. I had the storyboard done so I won't count it.

Imma say over a month now.

Its a little complected for me. I do parts for my chapters. I can take a week to a month depending on the writing, artwork, or number of pages per part / chapter.
