How long does it take you to draw a single panel?

actually I do mine in phases.. xD I sketch the whole page pretty quickly. I linearted them in few months, the coloring is easier somehow. in general it would take me no more than 2 hours if I did a whole page from scratch. For example this one, I did as a filler.

Depends on what I'm putting in it. If it's just characters and easy background stuff maybe 2-3 minutes. If I have to draw something I hardly know how to do like, a city.. maybe close to an hour of using heavy reference.

Wow, are you guys all superhumans? I guess I'm falling behind.
It can take me from 5 min to 30 to figure the right concept for the page. Then for me to be happy with the sketch - from 1h to 4h, 1h for lineart and 40m - 1h for colouring. 20m for extra bubbles and lines.
It usually takes me a full day/night to complete a page, sometimes more.

It depends on the panel, lol. Like some of my most ornate and detailed panels take more than 4 or 5 hours. It's such a pain in the ass.

If i'm drawing a ton of bg characters, where I don't outline them or anything, it takes considerably less time.

It really depends how much I have going on, but I will say it takes me anywhere from 30 mins to two hours. I think that's pretty fast.

If it's a simple headshot, sketch-to-finished-colours would take me maybe 15-20 minutes? If it's a more complex panel with lots of detail in the environment or tricky perspective and lots of foreshortening, it might be upwards of an hour, an hour and a half.

... It's hard for me to estimate. I mean, I don't work on my comics panel by panel. I do it stage by stage; sketch the entire page, ink the entire page, do flats for the entire page, etc. Time spent finishing a whole page varies from a low of 3 hours for super-simple pages to a high of 12 hours for super-complex, crowded pages.

Depends on the level of detail on the panel. Any where from 15-20 minutes for a head shot/shoulder bust to about an hour or more for full figures and a detailed background.

I dont draw a panel, ink a panel; I usually pencil out about 4 pages then ink the 4 pages. Each stage usually takes about a week per stage. When starting out, I mainly use my weekdays to rough layout pages; I then tighten pencils over the weekend...the next week I ink the pages. Inking tends to go faster coz I have the tightened pencils to follow.

For me it really depends on what it is...

If I'm drawing a small panel and let's say I'm drawing something simple like and eye for example, then that will take probably less than five minutes to sketch in.
A bigger panel can take me hours especially if it involves certain kinds of perspective or lots of detail.
On average, pages can take me 8-14 hours but lately it's been turning into days due to lack of wanting to draw xD

I also don't do any of my sketching or inking on the computer so I need to be a little more careful.

yikes it's hard to say. Like @AnnaLandin I do my pages in stages, not panel by panel. It really depends on how much detail I include as well. This page took me two weeks:

there are three panels, so if you average the time out, each panel took me about 4 hours. But in reality, that's not how much time I spent on each panel. There were a lot of details I had to move around on this page, so most of my time was spent in the initial thumbnailing/inking stage.
This page on the other hand took me about 6 hours total, which averages out to 1 hr per panel. In reality, some took longer, others were shorter.

honestly, I am pretty slow at creating art. I spend/waste a lot of time changing tiny details I'm not happy with, or staring at my reference pictures squeezing every last drop of inspiration out of them. Inking my pages takes the longest time, and is the most draining physically and emotionally. I enjoy coloring a lot more, and as you might expect, it goes much more quickly.

It all depends really. If the page is complex like the current update, each panel could take upwards of 15 to 30 minutes a panel. Less complex panels can take about 5 to 10 minutes to draw out. Coloring is an entirely different story and again depends on the complexity of the page. :3

Depends on the panel, I'd say maybe five minutes for the actual panel, though I usually base my time more on the actual page. It also depends if I get really self conscious on the background or something lol

...Man, uhh.. so many answers are between 3-10 minutes. I can't tell if people are fibbin' or not.

I mean it takes me 10 minutes alone just to do the concept sketch... I take forever to get the emotion and gesture right. ;u; Also because my character designs are stupidly complicated.

I would say I take 1-2 hours per panel for me. XD Hard to tell because I work the whole page.

They are all different.
If we consider the lineart only, the fastest one was probably between 5 and 10 minutes. But this just contained some extremely simple shapes built up by a handfull of lines. The most intricate ones, epecially if it is a full page easily eats up 7-8 hours or more. On average I'd say 1-2 hours on each panel.

If we also include coloring it depends on the style.
I have 2 ways of coloring. One is built up of only base colors that i put simple gradients on. Working like this a whole page can be colored in 2 hours or so (varies off course, depending on the page).
But if it is in my more elaborate style where, everything has 1 or two different layers of shade and highlights the coloring can take more time than the lineart.
There is one page in one of my series that took 5,5 hours to draw, and over 14 hours to color.
