, I'd been drawing since even earlier, but I barely drew anything back then, so I improved very slowly. Before 2016, I had multiple years where I didn't even finish three drawings in the whole year. This is a chibi fanart—a character I really love, a red-haired catgirl named Jean (also called Jejen). She's recognizable by her white boxing gloves.
She's been my absolute favorite character since I was 14—no "one of my favorites," just THE favorite. I still draw her regularly every year.

, This year was both happy and somewhat sad. Before this, when it came to digital art, I only knew how to use Photoshop's most basic round brush. This year I started experimenting with various software and brushes, which broadened my horizons and led to noticeable improvement. The happy part was that a friend had just started learning to draw—he was a 5-dan Go player. I would often teach him drawing, and he would teach me Go. Those were really good times. However, at the end of that year, he passed away from a rare disease.

, This year I was unemployed and stayed home, my mood was quite low, and I wasn't in good shape.

, My condition from the previous year carried over, and my mental state didn't get better until the end of 2019. Back then I was really into Clash of Clans. This is the Archer from that game. Looking at all these, you can tell I have a real thing for red-haired characters.

, Early that year, I discovered s0s2's webcomic "The Little Trashmaid" online and became obsessed with it, drawing tons of TLT fanart. S0s2 even invited me to include several pieces in her Steam puzzle game "The Little Trashmaid Puzzletime"—you can find it on Steam. She also commissioned me to draw a TLT side story chapter. It was the first time in my life a single piece reached over 1 million views. I remain deeply grateful to s0s2.
Though I'd owned a Twitter account for ages, this was when I actually started posting my art there. I found so many incredible artists and it really expanded my horizons.

, This was essentially my signature piece that year—Neptaan, the merman boy from TLT. I pushed myself to 120% of my artistic ability to make this happen. To this day I still often wonder, "How did I even manage that?

, 2022 was another year of major improvement for me. I tried out various new artistic approaches. Like in this piece, where I took Van Gogh's Starry Night and made it geometric for the background. I did lots of experimenting that year. The character is my waifu "Jean"

, This year, although there were some works I was fairly satisfied with, there wasn't really one piece I particularly loved. I occasionally practiced drawing realistic portraits, but whether they looked like the subject was hit or miss.

, I drew this as a birthday present for s0s2. Most of the characters here are her OCs. The only exceptions are the dragon in the top left, the chicken on the left, and the fish at the bottom.

, I've been super into Arcane recently. Based on the earlier images, you can probably guess who my favorite character is XD. Naturally, it's Vi—redhead with boxing skills.
