How many characters are in your comic or that you plan to have in your comic

Well, I was always a big fan of Rumiko Takashi's work--so I always thought it would be fun to incorporate a huge cast of characters you may see from time to time. I suppose in Waifu Wars, the main crew would be about 7-10 so people--with a lot of oc cameos of waifu's and husbandos in the background XD

I think the MOST I have at the same time in the story is more than 15, less than 20. The LEAST I have is probably more than 5, less than 10.

Crow Summer has 4 characters with major arcs, 8 named characters that appear frequently, and 10ish characters who reoccur a lot in the background. (So I'd say about 22-25 characters total. It's a pretty manageable number, I think, especially since there are really only the 4 big arcs)

Pirate Comic has 6 major protagonists, 9 major antagonists, 5 major supporting characters, 6ish minor antagonists (which appear in multiple chapters), and about 8 reoccurring background characters. (So… 34ish?? I feel like I'm missing a lot of people, but that's 34ish named characters with separate personalities and tiny arcs, so… that's a lot. There's a lot of characters. it's fun but HARD.)

I have one other major comic project which has only like… 9 reoccurring characters in the entire story. And that story is like 8 volumes long, and stretches over a time period of like 1000 years. so yeah, the cast is pretty isolated.

Right now I only have one character, but by the time I stop doing it, i hope to have at least 20 or more (none of them really main characters.)

Well, I usually have many characters in my stories but usually main characters would be only five or six of them. Some years ago, though, I wrote a novel that had like 200+ characters, all of them had some important role in the story...it was really crazy but fun! Funny thing is that now I'm taking some of those characters and working on their stories separately.

I've never really kept track of the character count in my story because there are going to be quite a few in the future. As far as main characters though, there are currently only 2, the rest are supporting characters. I have no idea what the exact number is going to be but there will probably be at least 10 - 15 more characters that will be introduced eventually.

I get my inspiration from lots of shonen manga especially Bleach so I wanna make my comic to be like that.
So I make up lots of characters in my sketch book based on the powers I wanna see used in my comic and then give them their own personality on how I see them after the sketch

I plan to find away to get readers into most of the characters so that at anytime they can easily recognize them and not confuse them for others.

At the moment in my comic Galaxy Guts, I have about 6 with 3 main ones. But I have about 9 to 10 characters all up that I can't wait to introduce. I always have the temptation to come up with new characters for my comic but I have to take a breath and try to develop the ones I already have.

My main character Lizzy, her house ghost, the silly self proclaimed super villain Prim, Lizzys best friend Elliott and his love interest the vampire Batula.

I will bring in more characters as the series goes on but for now I will focus on these.

I think it is so cool with comics with so many characters. I love a big cast. I don't know if I could handel that big of a cast myself thought... I feel like I would confuse them all together. But maybe if I bring new characters in slowly I will manage to keep up haha ^^

That is how I plan to handle all my characters, slowly introducing them. Also I don't want to overwhelm my readers, I know personally I hate when a story pumps out characters all in one go. (I am looking at you shounen Mangas! Lol 😂 )

Lol I haven't seen any shonen manga that just overwhelm readers with characters, you need to give shonen mangakas more credit

I guess around 15-20.. The main characters only 3 in Who's Mr.President? but in Kyun and Hana the main characters are 4.
My web comics are focusing on school's clubs activities, so there'll be a lot of characters from various clubs >v<

on the comic I'm working on there will only ever be 2 characters, and their both mute.

WOW! Honestly lucky you, I know a person who has over 1000+ established characters for their comic, and that's all the characters left unrevealed. But I too understand the plight of having so many characters as I have 3+ comics each with over 50+ characters to draw and develop. I fell your pain, and I'm here with you. I hope you manage to make it work though!
