Oi, it's Nebulous and I like to make characters
My comic is par · ox · ysm, but it's on hiatus as I'm going to be relaunching it for like the third time.

Hi there! I am a new comic creator, but the comic has been in the works since 2015. Currently, I have the story plot, chapter arcs from beginning to end, and the characters, but I am looking for a writer who will help me create episode scripts from the plot outline. The project (Paroxysm) is a sci…
This is most likely the fact too. They get a lot of traction from their app, especially on the IOS store. And since we know how notorious apple is about their "walled garden" and elitist, pure system, so this is most likely in response to having their app removed from the store. They want that ad-fr…
For the one I'm planning right now: mutant girl eats people, feels sad, drinks a lot and saves the world reluctantly (bad enough?)
This is totally true. For me it's especially prevalent in winter when your face and nose get all chilly and frozen and your can see you breath. It's not just the snow, but like the air itself that has a scent (if that makes sense? probably not)
I'm doing it (properly) for this first time this year too! I hope i'm ready, as i've been planning this for months now. Unfortunately for me, I'm aiming for 50, 000 pray for me pls
Earlier last week I had a strange episode with characteristics familiar to depression. Even with thoughts of death that were so unlike me, I just felt like ceasing to exist and it was horrible. It’s passed, but the thought still frightens me and I’m afraid it’s more than just a one off episode. Addi…
I just started learning Maya a month ago for school and I’ve seen various artists say that it is very good for laying out and modeling scenes and backgrounds for comics. I was just wondering exactly how this works—how does one go about drawing from a Maya reference? Is everything in the reference mo…
Amygdala. Oblongata Amygdala. I don't know how the hell I thought that was a good idea as it definitely did not fit the character or the story setting. It's been changed now, but I'll always remember that
Oh yeah! I actually did read Alfie a while back—I'm not up to date but I see what you're saying about it. The sex is very well drawn, but the plot is also pretty interesting. Thanks for the suggestion, though! I really like the idea of the character easing into the action while they get into it. I…
nope! It's gotta be steamy, make-you-feel-a-little-warm, sweaty smut
I CAN'T WITH YOU tingle wingle?? touchy wochyy?????? I CANN NOT lmao Anyway, metaphors: yes, I like 'em. But! I believe that sex and masturbation can have different meanings to different people and maybe even connotate with letting go (depending on the character or how you as a reader look at it). …
Yes, you got a lot of what my basic idea for this concept was! I really like the idea suggested about using flashbacks to show the development (because I don't wanna redraw the scenes lol) and the contrasting emotions part. I just wanna make people feel good in away they can relate to the characte…
Oh my gosh, this is a little embarrassing, but I had to ask because it comes up often in my comic. Okayyyy, so I have this main character who is technically pansexual but leans more towards femme and nonb presenting people, right? They end up falling in love with this character who was the one th…
This is mostly just for fun, but I really love the show Black Mirror and what it's trying to show about humanity in relation to their devices. So I just wanted to ask, to anyone who watches the show, what you favourite episode is and why you love it!! I believe my favourite episodes have to be a …
I know FOR SURE that one of my goals is to improve in both anatomy and drawing backgrounds! I also want to draw in my sketchbook more and make it as appealing/pretty as possible. Also I wish to make my comics and oces my full priority and try to not draw fanart as much as I draw my own characters. B…
2018 is going to be my art year as by the end I'm going to applying to Uni! So my goals are mainly comic and sketchbook based: Create and maintain a buffer for par·ox·ysm Work on creating a website for the above comic and my portfolio (from scratch) Upload 4 pages each update and 3 updates per mo…
Depending on which comic it is, they might probably hate me for not killing them off properly or for killing them too many times. In the one I'm currently writing my main characters Avaellyn would hate me for the former-- I've prolonged their death too long and they really just want to be with their…
But with this setting, does it really affect the depth(?) of the lines much? Because with my tablet there's this issue where i'm drawing and the lines aren't 100% percent opacity when I'm making linework and i have to go over it several times. Is this a common issue with a setting to fix or is this …
So, i updated my photoshop to cc 2018 and it came with a stabilizer feature (FINALLY) but at the same time I download clip studio paint. I'm having trouble seeing the effects of both programs' stabilizers, especially clip studio paint as I'm not sure exactly where it is. If it's not too much trouble…
We're right on the eve of November! I've already started working on some ideas for my "novel". What about everyone else? Are you guys ready?
I'm planning to do NaNoWriMo for the first time time year-- yay! Does anyone have any playlists or music mixes they can recommend for zoning out and getting lost in writing? I'd really appreciate it because it helps me focus better
Ever since I first saw 2d animated movies (disney and non-disney) I always wanted to draw and animate. I used to draw a lot when I was younger, but then I fell out of it for a few years but after I got my first tablet I came back to art. Now I'm really pushing to be an animator and concept artist fo…
thank you very much! Your comic is looking really good so far too-- I just subscribed
ooooh, that's pretty cool. Hard Sci-fi seems to be everywhere you look these, so that's why I'd rather read stuff that doesn't lay it on so thick (but that makes me a huge hypocrite because my comic kinda borders the line between soft and hard sci-fi)
Hey there! I'm Melissa, but you can call me Nebulous, and I'm trying (keyword trying) to work on a series of comics within a Quantic Multiverse. I really like making characters and worldbuilding, but I never actually draw the ideas in my head. The comic I'm working on so far is Paroxysm-- it's a sci…
I like to think I'm diverse in the genres I like but then I went to the library today and I realized I REALLY hate romance these days-- it's really overwhelming how much romance is in every piece of media I consume. With that aside I've always loved fantasy and sci-fi both together and separately. I…
hmm, I don't have many goals but by biggest ones would have to be: Have discussions with my followers about my comic Find a way to profit on doing what I love Receive fanart (this is my pinnacle goal tbh) Gain enough confidence to move away from tapas and onto my own website Inspire readers and p…
Yeah! I definitely suggest Ava's Demon. It's an internet classic and it really has inspired so many webcomics out there
Oh definitely! I used to follow a lot of webcomics back in 2012-13 but then I dropped out of it for a while until I discovered Ava's Demon in 2015 and I knew I wanted to make a comic. I'd have to say that things like Ava's demon, Countdown to Countdown, LUCY (the movie), Bee and Puppycat, and sci-fi…

Hm, if I had to spoil one thing: Mercy-- the Historian in Paroxysm-- is a reincarnation of the sister of my main character
