How many of the comics on your reading list do you actually read?

So I looked at my tapastic reading list just now, and I'm subscribed to 204 comics! If you're wondering how I could keep up with that many, the answer is I don't. I subscribe to a lot of comics flippantly and then ignore them. Am I the only one who does this? It's so easy to find promising new comics on this site that I just keep subscribing to new things instead of keeping up with the old ones. How do you guys deal with the embarrassment of riches that is tapastic?

I read all of them! Now, my reading list isn't as big as yours (only 45 currently), but I subscribe to a comic for one of two reasons:

• I love that comic. I look forward to every new update it puts out.
• I'm intrigued by that comic and want to see where it goes before I formulate a hard opinion on it.

I sometimes unsubscribe to comics on my list, too. Part of that is to keep my reading list manageable and part of it is because, sometimes, I'm interested in a comic book because of its art or its story ... but as it goes on, I realize that it's not really for me for one reason or another. And that's totally okay. The sheer variety of comic books is one of the genre's best traits! There really are comics out there that speak to everyone, and that's an amazing thing. People who don't read comics likely just don't realize that they just haven't seen/read the right comics for them, yet.

I'm subbed to 379 but only a third or fourth regularly update and probably only half of those are on a weekly basis. So it's actually pretty manageable.

I get disappointed when I find a series, read all that's up, enjoy it, sub to it, and then it doesn't ever update again. : (

All of them. I'm only subscribed to 58 comics, and not all of them update consistently.

My rule of thumb is to only subscribe to a comic after I've read the existing archive of pages, and I'm a pretty picky reader - I have to be, since I'm so busy drawing comics that I don't always have the time I'd like to read everything.

I've got about 252, and probably read a quarter of them, most of the time I sub to read when I get the rare chance to.

Every single one. The thing is that some of them just stopped updating. My list isn't that big and I clean it up often.

Wow, man, I wouldn't be able to do that! I can ignore updates on twitter and go back and catch up later, but on Tapastic, unread updates stress me out as much as unread emails. So I don't really sub to anything that I don't WANT to get notified of and read right away, and I unsub to anything as soon as I notice I'm not really checking the updates.... which is probably why my reading list has ten comics on it. xD

More and more I feel like the way subscriptions work on Tapastic is really not for me. I'm not sure why! But I've found myself reading archives on tapastic and then finding the creator on twitter and following their updates that way a lot lately.

I read all of them, but I´m just suscribed to 41, so is not so difficult. I´m mostly doing the same as @AnnaLandin , just suscribe to comics when i´m already hanged on it.

I'm keeping up with almost all my reading list which is 100+
I don't sub to anything unless I'm up to date with it, and when you're up to date with everything you read it's not hard to keep up.

Im subbed to about 486 comics. I keep up with about 98% of them. a few i havent read yet. Some are finished. Some are inconsistant. But i hate about 30 updates a day in comics.

As a creator (series, cuz no shame =D), a lot of people I subscribe to are for the social aspect of it. There's a lot of artists that have series running BUT also showcase a lot of their art.

Also, I might be biased towards people with lower sub counts (you know who you are). They tend to be more active, responsive, and generally fun people who engage in my work as well.

There's a ton of series here worth subscribing to that have thousands of subscribers (some that I have subbed to as well), but I will admit that there's some popular series I JUST don't bother subbing, mostly because they're easily accessible on the front page and featured list anyway. I'll even less likely comment on their episodes because, let's face it, we know when it's not gonna be read.

Yes, I tend to put a lot of popular series I subbed to on low priority and will someday binge all the latest updates, but for the active users still in the works of building a following that I enjoy, I'll put forth the effort to like and comment every new update, especially if it means pushing them up the "trending/popular" list.

I'm subbed to 460, and I read all of them, but I probably only stay up to date with about 85-90% of them. Some stories are better when you binge read them, after all ^.^ . As for the rest, probably about a third of them fall into the "completed, on hiatus, never update, one shot" category, so even though it's a big list, it feels manageable. I stay subscribed to completed stories so that if a creator launches a new series, I'll be notified. Every few months I go through my list and unsubscribe from stories, but I don't subscribe to stories in the first place if there isn't something about it that really intrigues me.

Hardly any of the ones I watch update really. So they have nothing new for me to read.

The ones that seem to be constant are the few gag strips I follow, and I usually ignore those because I have to be in a certain mood feel like reading that OR I already read it somewhere else cause those updates get posted everywhere, either by the artist or someone taking it and re-posting without the authors consent (very common issue for gag comics)

Most stuff I'm not 100% caught up with to the point of latest release, but that's because I like to binge so I wait until I've seen a few update notifications from them before I dive in and catch up.

I read all that I am sub to. My reading list is under 20 and very manageable, but I do check out other creators and binge read them. I may not sub, but I try to like the page or comment when I remember.

I think I have around 82. I'm the type of reader who likes to wait for the pages pile up and then read them in one fell swoop. So yahh I admit I haven't read most of them up to the latest and this thread reminded me to catch up to my reading. So many stuffs to do, so little time.

I read all of the ones that update. I'm subbed to 240 but many of them are either completed or dropped. I'd guess maybe about 90 of them are updated on a monthly basis (since some update biweekly and others update once a month)....I used to not always read them but that's changed since a number of them completed/went on hiatus

I only have about 10 a day, sometimes less, to read so it's not a problem for me

I tend to read all of them, but if it's not one I'm closely following I'll kind of skim it and focus more on the ones I really like (which is about half of them)
