How many subscribers do you get when you started out on WEBTOON

Just started out on Webtoons and it is slightly discouraging but I understand patience is very much needed.!!

How many subscribers did you guys get when you started posting?

It depends on the genre of your comic and it takes time to get subs, because not only people have to like your comic, but you also have to be consistent to be visible on discovery

My comic is a comedy, and I'm still within the first month of uploading it. I've been getting like 1-5 subs per update, and I update three times a week. Right now I'm up to 25 subs, which I personally don't think is all that good compared to the average new webtoon comics, but at least it's something. I use an over simplistic art style, though, so that could just be a turn off. It definitely can't be the writing, cause I'm hilarious

Anyway, it can be discouraging at times, but don't let it bother you too much. Keep updating, and if there are some people who enjoy your content, then there are definitely more out there.

3 months - 1000 subscribers
6 months - 3000 subscribers

Aaaand, there hasn't really been a notable gain since then (we hit 3k about 5 months ago).

I posted daily for a month and got around 119 subs. After a hiatus I got 122. It never got higher than that.

I don't upload very regularly on there, so my stats aren't great. I basically put several updates on at once every couple of months.

The first batch of subs I made was like... I dunno, 40 people? Now I kind of gain around 10 every time I can be bothered to update.

My newer series which is romance/comedy gets faster subs and views compared to my other fantasy one, maybe also because I upload it with proper schedule... but I remember I got up to 700 something for the first month. But then it kinda slow down to about <10 subs/day or about 50 new subs per update. It's been 2 and a half month now and I'm currently sitting at 1.5k subs ~ I think it's a good growth but also don't be discouraged because it takes a lot of time to build up your own reader base

I've been on Webtoons for about a year and I have 37 subs. I've noticed I tend to get more subs if I post later in the evening, but I have a problem with impatience, lol.

I think I had~ 100 subs after 2 weeks - which was shooking to me, bc I didn´t ever get so far on Tappastic with 5x updates a week for the entire previous year. (Tappastic is a lot slower in growth, but I´m building up now, so happy about that.)
A year later I am getting close to the 2k sub mark; I upload once a week and gain a range of 30 - 70 subs a week.

It really does depend on the genre, and a strong start (first chapter) does a lot for you!

I got maybe 14, then got annoyed about the lack of auto update and ignored it, logged back in couple weeks ago to find out my comic was mysteriously deleted without my knowledge. Id like to think i at least got up to 16 before that happened.

When I first started, I didn't really understand how Webtoons worked. I put my comic in the wrong category but updated once a week, so readers knew the schedule. In the first 5 months, I gained 600 subs. After I switched to a more relevant category, Romance, I gained 1000 subs a month until Oct '17. This is with no promotion from Webtoon, no-cross promotions, or promoting on other social media.

If you really believe in your project, don't give up! I've seen comics start off really slow, end up getting promoted by Webtoons, and quickly reach 25k+ subs. Also I've seen comics that have been around for over a year that never reached more than 1K get promoted and now are at 60k+ subs.

I have 2....now...I have...…………..THREE! XD But for real, people say webtoons is better than Tapastic, I think they're lying. I like how interactive this site is much better than webtoons. I got more views and subscribers here than on webtoons.

I think I had maybe 5-10 when I started 2 years ago and its been a not so steady climb to 58 subs for my one comic and 59 for my other comic, I had 60 subs for but after I kept going on hiatus both dropped to 58 (a fantasy, sci-fi) and 59 (Action/fantasy) that I have re-booted 2 times. I guess its not that bad but I have not moved in a year with the one.

hmm I got about 100 after the first 2 updates, then they updated the app and it took something like 3 months to get the next 100 and it's been a somewhat better lately, but I've only gotten to where I am because of cross promos.

I am lucky with Webtoon (or more people will prefer to say because my comic is BL-themed). The first hour my comic was published I gained 100ish subs and my friend freaked out. First month I got 1k and in the span of 7 months I reached 10k. However, once 2018 started my sub gain dwindled but still counting and now the comic subs is about 13k. Now I get around 100ish subs per update.

I did black and white before but now it’s in color. Update once a week. And I noticed the moment I changed the comic icon the view doubled. Having an interesting cover helps a lot to lure ppl clicking your comic XD

My subs climbed to 100 in the first month steadily then sort of just stayed there for the months following.

That may explain why I'm not getting any subs since mine are black and white. Good practice nevertheless for what colors you want.

I just started on Webtoon and I think it's okay. I got like 7 subs from one update Hopefully I'll get more once I start uploading on schedule.
