How many updates do you get through Monthly (Also feel free to post your comic/novel too!)

Honestly, I'm usually only able to do 2-3 updates a month. Though I'm also just the writer of my comic and not the artist, so I'm also bound by her free time and availability XD. It's tough since I know consistent updates is usually the best way to get consistent readers.

I wonder if it would be better to do single page updates and have more of them compared to multipage updates and having to skip a week a few times

I post every Thursday around 5 pm ct. I'm doing a comic, and it helps to have a backlog of episodes. I'm about two months ahead of where I post, and it is the only thing keeping me able to keep to that schedule.

My comics was weekly. I started Monday updates but moved to Friday after about a year in. It allowed me to finish my story in a timely manner.

Used to upload on Saturdays consistently(4x/month), but it's decreased to 2-3 a month due to irl stuff--at least until I have more free time in my schedule. Been getting rough these past months, but it's going. Next update I'm hoping to have out tomorrow or at the very worst, Sunday.

PS: I think single page updates would be easier on you, but I am not sure how the readers feel. Maybe do enough pages/panels for a cliffhanger or end on something interesting so there's incentive to keep reading?

Roughly 4 times depending on the month, I upload every Thursday at 7 am. It leaves me enough time to get a few pages of backlog done before every update.

2-3 times a week because I want to push myself to be consistent, although I might not meet up to my quota sometimes but I try my best.

I post 2~4 pages usually at the end of the month, so it's 1 (or sometimes 0).

With my previous, already completed webcomic, I was able to draw 2-3 updates per week, and would post 1-2 per week (depending on my situation irl). Pages were done on paper and in black&white so I was able to go through it quite quickly

Now I've recently started posting my new webcomic, this time in full colour, and I'm aiming for 1 update per week. I'm not sure for how long will I be able to keep it up. My buffer is slowly going down and because my life got busy I can't keep up the pace with drawing, BUT I hope things calm down soon and I can re-build my buffer and still keep posting ~4 updates per month

I do weekly so it's 4-5 updates a month. updates every Friday for the foreseeable future

I try to keep it weekly. Between chapters seems to be a good place to take about a month off from posting and then work on getting a backlog of pages up. That's just from the "keeping consistent while avoiding burnout" side of things though, getting eyes on it is another thing lmao

I have an acquaintance who does batch updates (anywhere from 4 pages to an entire chapter) basically whenever he finishes them, and his comic is WILDLY popular, but he's also pretty present on social media and was able to build the following to his first comic pretty fast.

I update twice to thrice weekly, so on a consistent month approximately 8-9 updates.

I get the understanding for needing readers too I only get 3-4 a month depending on what month it is and even though I'm writing solo I also work part time while I write and look after my sibling. Its a pain but I still manage to get my updates out on time thats all I'm happy about.

Anyway here is my novel, the 6th episode releases this Sunday titled Sanare.

the novel is an action fantasy set in the ocean and my main character is a young man name Kurai. He is from the surface but finds himself waking up at the bottom of the ocean without his memories. However the ocean is actually home to humans as well and they have made a living by killing creatures that lurk in the abyss.

the story is heavily inspired by shadow slave and TBATE (mostly the power systems.)

i like to write write with a lot of mystery as well and you can figure things out from reading between the lines or through the meanings of chapters and how they link up to the story.

I usually do 4 updates every month, corresponding to each week. If it were up to me, my updates would be wicked inconsistent and more numerous, but since I'm busy around this time, I can only do it once every week.

(Where I come from, wicked is an adverb meaning "very")

I only do novels, so it's easier to get the chapters out and I'm still behind on stuff, lol. I've been doing about nine chapters a month for my contest story and my other story gets updated twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, but I have a lot of chapters written in advance. But when I have no pressure to do quick updates I do once a week or even once every two weeks.

The most important thing is just to follow a consistent schedule. Readers are usually more patient with comics because they do understand it's a lot of work.

For Alterria, I do 8 updates per month. Each up date being one to two pages of the comic. With whole 20 page Chapters getting done within 1 to 2 months. It was rough in the beginning but I've been sticking to this schedule pretty consistently as of late.

My updating is inconsistent every time I start posting once a week some shit happens in my life and I just leave for months at a time.

But there was a time where I posted once a day and twice a week. But that's bc I was in high school and didn't really have so much stuff on me like now.
