How much anime/manga you consumed vs everything else?

1 When I was young, I loved anime like The Slayers, New Genesis Evangelion, and Moving Catsle of Howl but nowdays no more watching anime. I rather like watching cartoons such as the advanture time, sponge bob, uncle granpa, cat in the puss and shrek which are more fun and attract to me. Manga no more either. I just miss it between 80s and 90s.

2 British movie & drama.
US criminal investigation drama such as CSi L.V. and Criminal mind.
Western period drama

My manga consumption has always trumped my western comic intake. I never even read any western comics until early college with short series like Blacksad and one book of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser.

My anime intake was more balanced with western animation though.

Nowadays I rarely watch anime or read manga. Don't have enough time. I rarely watch TV shows too. I'm more of a movie person currently. I'll also watch youtube reviewers and find movies through them.
And mostly I just read webcomics currently, through Tapas.

What bothers me even more is that you keep seeing it replicated in web comics here on Tapas, in fan art on DeviantArt, Tumblr etc etc.. Never ending. It's like that Freeza-Goku fight that never really ended.

I read more manga than anime, I've been watching anime but like a lot people the newer anime just have the same art type lately.

Too much manga man.... tooooo Much I've gotten to the I will check the fresh section and recommends from 1980-1990 state of searching for mangas - (i think I have like 17 mangas booked marked and 10 in stand by :/)

look into senines man more variety and a lot better stories (i recommend 20th century boys and bartender for a dip in the water)... : / most new shonen/shojo are getting really samey and the best stories like vinland saga(almost beserk level of quality) or Akumetsu(maybe) will never get a good adaptation :C

1. Well lately I've been trying to catch up on JoJo's Bizzare Adventure. I watch some anime and read some manga from time to time. Some of my favorites being FMA 2003 (I also like Brotherhood and the manga), Hunter x Hunter, and JoJo's Bizzare Adventure (some of the best colored versions of black and white comics I've ever seen by the way.). Mob Psycho 100 is also another favorite of mine. I'd say I divide it equally between everything else I consume but right now (because of JoJo) I'd say that anime/manga is significantly less than what I'm used to.

2. I choose not to limit myself when it comes to media (and I'm still working on branching out more). I play lots of video games (Mother 3 being a personal favorite of mine. Also the mother series in general inspires me a lot. The Persona series is pretty cool too. But screw Persona 1.), watch quite a few cartoons (I need to watch Ok KO. The animation looks fantastic), and I watch a few movies. I even read books and read a few webtoons from time to time (Space Boy is probably my favorite right now).

I've actually never watched Kdramas. Hmmm...suggestions?

I dono why I mentioned it, I guess it's because alot of romance drama webcomic I saw on tapas and webtoon just reminds me of it.

I used to read a ton of manga in the 90s- Silent Mobius, Battle Angel Alita, Dark Angel, Gunsmith Cats, You're Under Arrest, Oh My Goddess...but when I went on a comic book hiatus, I stopped reading manga. Most companies like Dark Horse dont publish the translated manga stuff anymore, and I dont care to read the manga published stuff that comes out nowdays in the opposite direction.

As for anime- My anime intake has always been below 50%. Most of my TV watching is between movies(blu-ray & Netflix), TV shows, sports(football), and then anime. I used to watch most of my anime from Cartoon Network/Toonami/Adult Swim, but now since my cable provider has made CN a premium channel(meaning I would have to pay more to watch it), I've been watching Crunchyroll instead. I still dont watch a boatload of anime coz sometimes I get to the point where I get tired of seeing some of the same tropes show up in almost every show I watch.

Anime I watch pretty much all the time for when I want to watch stuff, the only exceptions are; The Weather Channel, Walkind Dead and Christmas and Halloween movies/specials. So pretty much 90%.

Manga and comics overall...80%. I read other things too, but not a whole lot.

However, if you were to say my playing of "Anime games"......99%.

1. I'd say 90% of what I read/watch is anime and manga. I usually don't watch anything until the weekend because I'm so busy during the week. There are a few current anime I'm watching, but I'm still behind on finishing stuff from last season. We don't have cable, only internet, so we rarely watch TV shows.

2. I do like watching anything animated from MLP:FIM to Rick and Morty.

omg....so much manga...I brought all my old school manga over with us from Japan and get all my new stuff from Amazon Japan...I have close to 300 takubons of all kinds of series. I didn't have a big enough bookcase to fit everything properly, so my manga are double-decker and two rows deep ^_^'...I have a problem That and an addiction to Japanese crane games (so much plush)....

and all my Tsubasa volumes that wouldn't fit...and there's more manga in a box...or two...

This may sound odd. Although manga is my preferred style for Osca
I consume about 5% of it, haha. I'd love to get back to reading shonen manga to learn from different skill levels and artistic styles. I'll look into One Punch Man for its action sequences.

I've been hearing the benefit of meditation to sort of sharpen your brain? Is that true?

Yup it helps out the brain immensely! After 7 or 8 weeks of mediation. Your brainwaves and parts of your brain are shown to change helping in memory and emotional regulation (great for studying art). Plus it helps you to access "the zone" state. A great way to reduce clutter to get the juices flowing, haha. Mediation works great for all areas of your life too!

I probably read more webcomics than anything else, and I don't actually read a lot of manga and anime. Right now the only thing I'm watching/reading is My Hero Academia, before that it was Hunter x Hunter. I did a lot more anime watching and manga reading when I was younger but then as soon as I started webcomics that came to a grinding stop.

I'm relatively between casual and hardcore when it comes to watching anime I'd say 50% anime (I'm also including anime related channels like The Anime Man, Akidearest, Chibi Reviews, Gigguk...)

5% Reading manga and webcomics online
15% TV series and movies
30% drawing, progressing in my comic (varies sometimes)

I'm way more into anime than manga although I have around 10 mangas and some merch. I don't cosplay often but when I do, it's at conventions XD

My top genres are psychological, dark, "mind fock" ones like Monster,Death Note, Mirai Nikki, Death Parade, Madoka, Paranoia Agent, Perfect Insider, Tokyo Ghoul, Juuni Taisen, Steins;Gate, Shinsekai, Terror in Resonance and many more, I like digging up hidden gems tho!

My other few favs are Overlord, Log Horizon, Juuni Taisen and add some a few sparkly shojo like Ouran, Kamisama and Nana, you get me=sack of geek XD

Among all the vampire anime, Blood +, Hellsing and Monogatari series were darn good. Others were either decent or meh. I really like this genre so I started FANGS

Welcome! ahahaha...it took years and it's still growing... But Japan has Book-Off and Geo, so getting manga is too easy and they're usually 50yen to 100 yen (50 cents to a dollar). A lot of what I read isn't online or really hard to find, hence the insane number of takubon. Giant plush are Darkness from Konosuba and little ones on the black shelf are Cardcaptor Sakura.

I will admit a small part of me does miss this set...

Now I only buy figures based on Idolm@ster and Tony Taka designs to avoid excessive buying. Rarely get anything outside of those two things.
