How much does ad rev earn you?

I just got mine turned back on. But yeah this is what I have gotten for revenue this month. I had it turned back on last week. Mine broke a year ago and it took them a year to fix it. But before that I had earned 9 bucks in a year... so like rolling in the doe.

Weirdly, there are more views on my comic this month than in January, but there are less ad impressions.

For reference: this achieved not by me having numbers of subscribers in tens of thousands, but by doing a lot of episodes. 7 for one comic and 10 for another. Every 1-2 days I uploaded something...

I really have no idea if Tapas ad rates are terrible or if it's just because I have much more readers on webtoons but on Tapas, the amount I made IN TOTAL since the very start of the program a few years ago is the same amount I make per month on Webtoon ads.

This is something super old and I get that Tapas had moved on to a different direction but, back in the day Tapas had it's own build in support system, similar to Patreon where people pledge a certain amount each month and build up to rewards they could get, and I remember that being such a unique idea for a comic platform and a great way to monetize comics. Then they switched to coins/ink with ads, which barely makes anything... idk i feel like the previous support system could have been developed or something bc it was only unique to Tapas and not any other webcomic platform.

I've been seeing such topics pop up every now and then, and the responses are just about the same.

Big or small creators. I never see anyone saying they cash out good money out of this.
Makes me wonder if there is any point to having ads at all if they never make you any meaningful revenue even years later...

I haven't cashed out the amount I've saved up since the start of the program... I feel like if I do it's going to take a AGES to cash out again.

Yes. I've cashed out. Years ago I would cash out once a month, then it slowed to once every two months, and now it's about once every three or four months. Inksgiving definitely helps.

I'm sure it's just a bad mix of falling CPM rates and my series plateauing and ending though.

Well I guess the only way to make any kind of money on Tapas is to get picked up as a premium series. And that seems pretty impossible, given how they sequester community comics. Tapas, you're a cruel mistress.

I got $30.58 on ad revenue since June 2020 but I cash out all the time through ink support so I don’t notice ad revenue.

Based on my experience, Tapas have the highest ad impression rates although I’ve only experienced Mangatoon and google adsense. Well, google adsense pays a little higher but it’s the difficultly to find ad impressions is the problem unlike on tapas where you can earn ad impressions just from readers reading your chapter.
