Sooo.........authors! How much is your word count currently? And how many chapters have you written? Not to mention, what is your goal in writing or how many more words do you wish to accomplish?

My current word count is 39,426, but I don't have any goal for words. Right now, I just finished writing 33 chapters, but I haven't uploaded them yet.

I just hit 120k for my novel. Rounds to 31 chapters.

I don't really have a goal that I want to it. Originally, it was 130k words. However, it is looking like it will be closer to 170k. It's been a longer novel, but I have really enjoyed writing it.

Current word count is 73,919. I've released 31 chapters. i have no specific goal, but I would like to surpass the size of a fanfiction i wrote back in the day(107,226). Aside from that, I'm just writing until the story is done.

My total is somewhere around 120k. Although, with future edits, it may be more or less.

Not sure on the total number of chapters either, since I have to break them up to work with Tapas character limit. It's probably over 100, if I had to guess.

I don't really have a goal, honestly. I started my current project as a writing challenge, so the original benchmark was 50k. Now... it's kind of just... write as much as I feel like.

Right now I am aiming for a short read of just 55k-70k words total and 55 chapters. I'm currently at about 48k words with 40 chapters. My chapters are pretty short to fit the story structure I'm aiming for. I usually write really long chapters to cater to world building and such but I guess I'm at a phase that I am tired of imagining new worlds and I'm trying to write a story that reflects my current mind set. I don't want to make something for my audience that I do not want to currently read myself. After this one, I might go back to longer stories, if my mind recovers. LOL.

Currently around 55k words and 85-86 chapters. I'm not exactly sure how long the arcs will be but if I make an estimate? Then probably around 1200-1500 chapters which would probably be somewhere around 7.5 Mil words. But like I said it's an approximate only I'm not really sure how long it'll go for.

I've currently got about 120k written over the span of 32 or so chapters? I honestly need to go back in and recount because I rewrote some bits recently (to release starting tomorrow), so that's just a rough estimate.

For the story I’m currently writing, I have 61453 words, which would probably be more if I was writing it like a normal person. For some reason I started writing it with dialogue separate. ex:

Person: blah blah
something happens
Other person: Blah blah

I don’t know if I’ll ever really make it into a novel or not. It’s more of a draft I suppose. It’s also the sequel to something I haven’t written, so…

So, the template allows us up to 15,000 characters, right? uhm, but Tapas guidelines say keep it short, so I'm still playing between 1800 to 2200 an episode cause, it really depends on the flow of the story for me and you can't really chop it off without sense, right?

So, by episode 15, for my story below, I am at 28,752, neat, huh?

Hmm, do you mean for the whole story or just what's been published so far? For the part of my story that has been published so far, it's 40,000. For the whole story it's over 300,000. I'm currently working on book 2. I've planned about 8 books in the series.
