How old is your comic?

My comic's about two months old, and yeah I've abandoned a comic before due to depression and lack of planning (not gonna happen this time) I didn't really plan out specifically how long it'd take, but now I'd say two years'd be a reasonable length of time - hiatus time notwithstanding. I've got an ending planned, of course, I just need to figure out how to get there (there's lots planned, but gaps here and there to navigate)

I started writing the very first version of Inhibit seven years ago, but the current version is only 1 3/4 years old, and about 90 pages long so far! I was originally going to do another comic before I started this one so I could practise making a comic but I'm too fond of this story. I'm planning to be working on it for several more years at least!

My webcomic actually started as a gag-a-day strip series by the same name about three years ago. Here's a link to deviantart that has some of them. I made about 30 strips I think, then tried to flesh out the story more. Tomervision had a lot of incarnatons before I decided on a "Teenage Mutant Ninja" story. So, Tomervision is three years old!

I don't have all the original strips saved or backed up anymore, but they may be floating around on the internet somewhere.

The very first version of 6,75 was created about 8-9 years ago, I think c: but after drawing first few pages, I abandoned it to start another comic. Which I abandoned as well. Oops. Anyway, few years ago I decided start again, changing A LOT, both in a storyline and world lore. The current version is about 2-3 years old, but still there were some changes in the story in a meantime ( : Drawing in all is probably going to take 5 years or more- I'm in chapter 7, and there are going to be 27 chapters + 2 epilogues. Soooo yeah :'D And yes, I have an ending planned, but it might change with time.
But I'm really motivated to finish this one, as I have a long history of started-and-abandoned comics. I want to draw this one till the very last panel : D and then, maybe, go back to other series I created as a teenager and finally draw them as well : D

my comic SPIRE is just a babby, made this year in april. but it has some characters in it that are 1-4 years old now.

I've been working on Unfamiliar for over a year now, but only have been posting for about three weeks. It's still a baby comic. ;w; I expect it will be completed in about three years~

I started my first webcomic Kanna & Nikki in june, it's still too young, I expect to make 5 issues and if everything go nice, I'll make 5 more issues

I hope to make another webcomic in the future, maybe in a year or two

My comic is currently 1 month old now, ,and it's on it's second chapter. I still have a lot of planning for it's future, and honestly, I'm impatient since it's still shrouded in mystery, and I just wanna reveal it all right now! Anyway, I've done zero planning for this story, and I have no idea how long this comic is going to be. I mean, I don't pre sketch or pre plan chapters, I wing it all the way through.

I tried to make a comic when I was a teenager but only made like ten pages (it was not that good). But that comic was not that serious. ^^

How long did you expect this project to last when you started it. How long do you expect it to last now?

I don't know... I have a lot of plans and ideas. I want my webcomic to keep going for many years and I will keep doing it as long as I love it as much as I do right now ^_^ <3

Yes, I know how I want it to end. But That is a big secret

My comic ElectroMania started last february, but I got the idea for the concept very late in 2014, and took a year to shape it into something I felt was presentable. I expect to work on it regularly for a couple of years given the amount of time it takes to produce. But I hope to begin putting out 3 pages a week as soon as it becomes plausible! As far as money goes... well, I can dream 8*)

I made a webcomic 6 years ago and learnt a lot, i also made a few short comics on DA and was part of the DA comic community for a long while before doing my current title

as for how long this one will last? far too longer, i greatly underestimated how long a comic takes even after some experience. I do have an ending planned! when I'll get there, who knows!

I started mine back in February of 2015 (I'm still pretty new to Tapastic though), and it's the only one I've done so far, save for some small concepts I've sketched out. If all goes well this could go on for at least 3 years but I keep expanding and writing more chapters it so I can't really tell. I'm not doing this full time -for now- so there's no telling when I may need to take time off either. I currently have two endings planned - a happy one and a major downer.... and from the looks of things I might go for the happier one.

Never one that actually went into pencil phase. I got this thing where if I make a real start on something (beyond a few sketches and scribbles) I don't waver much.

How long did you expect this project to last when you started it. How long do you expect it to last now?
Oh.... hmmm... years.... the story arc for the following books is long. But it's kinda why I chose to run with this series.

I started with concepts and writing test-scripts for SPEJS in the end of 2013, maybe? Then I tried around a lot with plots, characters etc until I finally just wanted to make something and made a thumbnail script and finished the first chapter in Q1 2015. I started publishing the comic online in December 2015 =)

I re-drew an old comic of mine, but abandoned it halfway through. I didn't enjoy the characters anymore since they were old and a bit problematic (and one is based on an ex of mine), it feels great to have finally decided to drop it!

Back in 1998-2000 (that's 100 years ago!), I made a fantasy webcomic, it was my first big project, I was 14 years old, it was weird, ugly and had odd plots with holes, but I finished it and I probably learned a lot on the way =)

I've been drawing my comic Crow Summer since July, so about two months. But I wrote the first script in 2012 and I've been working on storytelling and concept art ever since then! so I typically say it's four years old.

I've never abandoned a comic before, although I've taken very extended breaks on my practice comic (which is just about three years old, a little over a hundred pages long, and way more crazy than I intended). It's currently on hiatus now, too, but I haven't forsaken it!

I do have an ending planned for Crow Summer, as I've written the whole script out (several times over). I expect it to take about eight years, Lord willing and the creek don't rise. That's also assuming I only update once a week for that long, and some day I hope to update biweekly. Who knows if that will happen, though.

I also have an ending planned for my practice comic, but all bets are off on how long it'll take me to get there. Haha.

I've been working on Drananigons since the beginning of April, so it's only a few months old at the moment.
But I'm currently working on another series called Fictalionis since 2014 I think? It's no where close to being done though 'cause I want to write out the whole thing before posting it (which I didn't do with Drananigons).

My comic Serenade Song had it's first anniversary just last month. I was developing this version of it for two years prior to publishing it here.
I say this version because I actually started this story once before( it was MUCH different) 10 years ago, but stopped it because i had no real plan going forward. Which isn't the case this time, as I've learned the beauty of planning ahead lol.
