How to get more fans and views on webtoon/ any webcomic in general

I've posted my entry for the webtoon short story competition but I'm still disappointed at the amount of views. It's not that been that long since I posted but the views aren't great. It's even more discouraging to see other entrys with thousands of likes and subscribers. I haven't got that many people irl to share it with and my online presence is almost non-existent. I would like some advertising tips to gain more views and put my comic out into the world. Or is this all in my head and I just need to wait it out and publish more? Any advice would be much appreciated

Gaining audience is hard, even harder for a short story, since you only update a limited amount of times. Most people with thousands subs are already really popular somewhere. I mean, it's not easy to send readers from your ongoing comic to read your other comic, even harder to gain new ones.
You still can go and try to advertise on the forum or Instagram and Twitter, still worth trying
But overall just try not to think much about it. Usually comics gain readers by months and months of updates, becoming popular overnight with 2 updates is pretty impossible.

Yeah, I know it's all in my head, you're right. It's just hard to get motivated, you know. This question isn't going to solve anything for me but words like yours do give me hope, thanks!

Me and my artist are joining as well, and it's hard to get people to see it.

Currently I'm working hard to try and grow my twitter, while my artist is working hard at growing her instagram.
So the only thing I can really say, is that it doesn't happen overnight, and that it requires a conscious effort to get out there

I think that a lot of the entries to the contest get a ton of views right away because they were already doing successful stories on Webtoon outside of the contest. So really they've had a head start in gaining those views, youknow? A head start by many, many years. I'd just keep on trucking and finish your entry as strong as you can, because the more quality stories you got under your webtoon account, the more likely it will be that your next story will be more successful than the last.

seriously though try cross promoting! reach out to friends with comics or here or on comic/webtoons discord servers and ask to do a cross-promo. why rely on just your watchedbasw when you can rely on someone else’s

Join a Webtoon focused Discord that allows self-promotion where you can post your comic. Post your work with the right hashtags on Twitter and Instagram so you might get seen. Start interacting with the Webtoon community on social media and build connections. As you publish more episodes, you'll get more readership because you'll show up on the "recent" page. Just takes a bit of time to build an audience, but it's definitely doable.
