@punkarsenic

ok OK SO

I spent some time trying to puzzle my way through this and... its not perfect but I get an effect thats pretttty darn close?

Yes? No? Still needs some tweaking but anyways. If i catch you in the hangout I can go over what i did to create the effect (or i can just share it here but i think it would be harder to explain)

I'm actually interested to know too, but if you think it's too difficult to explain, I understand XD you could also share the brush in assets/

Ah ok!

@beta1042 Ill share here in detail once I get the chance! its not a particular brush, its actually more just adjusting layers

I’m interested too! I can’t make it to the hangout today but I’m looking forward to your tutorial :v

heres smth i made w the method min showed me, i added some watercolour underneath for extra shading. (screenshotted for size)

i love how intuitive it is, it really does capture a wet ink look, but you lose the soft outlines for smth that looks kinda photocopied, you lose the lighter subtleties, but you can draw like this realtime so its easier to deal with.

you have to export the ink and combined correction layer together to merge, then turn luminance to transparency, and add back to the original page. thats kinda inconvenient. i think youd have to put your sketch layer over the top or smth for it to work w that, im not sure.

this is what it looks like without the level correction layer, its still quite nice but loses that wateriness

did you make that pen? if so mind sharing a downloadable file of the pen?

Hope this helps! Happy trial and error ><

been experimenting with this, and i love the result so much! thanks a lot for this tutorial :slight_smile:

been trying to get this result for ages!
