Making a comic is a lot of work, and most likely you do it for some reason... You want to show your story to others, you want to prove something to yourself, you want the $$$, you need to put your story on paper, you want the fame, etc.

You likely have somehow clear goals, and in some parts of the journey, you'll celebrate internally (highly recommended not to burn out! proved it the wrong way!!).

What do you celebrate?
And how, if you want to share it ^^

So far, I choose to celebrate the production itself rather than the results. Example: Instead of "when reaching X followers", I go on a fancier-than-usual date with my husband when a comic chapter or animation big piece is finished!

A dinner? That's so sweet! And a great idea!

I think I'm enjoying making the comic so much that I celebrate everything. We got a Q&A when we reached 100 subs, everyone got a fan art made by me. Then we had a game on my birthday. A Valentine's special, Christmas, special. I think I just find excuses to spoil the readers and enjoy ourselves.
When we reach 400 I would love to make something really special or, regardless of the number of subs, I want to celebrate when we reach the third arch.

i'll usally treat myself to a few minutes to an hour or so of downtime if i finish a page or illustration especially if it's a big one or has a lot of details. typically it's spent either gaming or napping depending on what i've got the energy for. i'd like to do food rewards but things like snacks and candy don't really last at home

as for reader/support rewards i'd planned on having different things being unlockable at diffrent amounts like a character qna, icons, wallpapers or other bonus content. the organization is mostly done it's just been a matter of implementation and execution '<')

I celebrated by editing, going through and re-reading the whole story and not editing- when I broke 40chs, 60chs, and 85 chs. I've also done some arts to reward myself, like hitting a 3yr mark

And once I bought a comission from one of my favorite artists on dA

So I'd never forget I did that for myself, I printed it out on nice paper and framed it. I also got a print of a smaller version so I can see both when I wake up. :3
I'm not too sure what I'll do for the ch100, but if I have the money, I'd like to buy another commission from that artist of the other main character.
Sometimes I treat myself with tiny things that people online will never see- like after finishing some writing in the last few months after a long break due to IRL forced hiatus, I got myself a boston cream pie cake :heart_decoration:

We actually do the same! While we do celebrate sub count milestones, we also celebrate episodes that came out amazing or scenes we were eager to do. It’s good to appreciate the little things.

The comic is 6 years old this year~ and the way I celebrate is animating one of them:

But this isn't done though...

Also made a background~

Aaaannd I think I splurged at a restaurant last time when this comic3 went viral haha

I don't because I have never made things that worth celebrating

I just state I'm thankful when reaching certain numbers of subscribers/chapters/time and that's just it for now. I don't think anybody will look forward something from me.

I once held a raffle but it's not a celebration IMO, it gone wrong. Just only 6 people joined so I gave them all the prize to spite on my other 80 or something followers at that time.

I celebrate when I've literally improved my art work. I celebrate by just acknowledging the improvement and continue trying to improve.
