My very, very first favourite webcomic was found through google image search of logo designs (toothpastefordinner) and my most recent favourites have been simply browsing about the Fresh section here on tapas. I'll click through title/keywords that grab my eye (thumbnail art's been misleading in my experience) and it's been amazing discovery mileage.
I'm a sucker for Mahou Shoujo and a certain Apricot kept popping up on trending when I first found this site. Now I look forward to reading Apricot Cookie(s) every Thursday... even when it distracts me from my own comics.
I asked the same questions a month ago And the different replies really are interesting!Check it out: https://forums.tapas.io/t/how-did-you-find-your-favorite-webcomics/19057
I completely agree... I enjoy the popular comics as well but the fresh section has really great hidden gems and have so much variety in stories
I think everyone should check this out too! There are a lot of helpful and wonderful replies here, as well!!
Like joannekwan, I make a point of going through the Fresh section a couple of times a week. A lot of the time, I prefer the less well known comics to the big name ones...
Plus it's good to support your homies. <3
I'm an ex user of Mangamagazine/Inkblazers. I read alot comics on Smackjeeves to. While alot MM users moved to Tapas when it shut down, I followed them to here too. I support alot 'newbies' on Tapas as well along with my favorites. But had much more readers myself on Inkblazers
