My covers are made using Canva and although I'd love to redo them at some point, they will have to do for now. I have little artistic talent to speak of, but who knows maybe one day I'll be able to draw a decent cover

I can draw pretty well in a niche. unfortunately none of my covers require psychedelic combinations of animals and plants so I'm useless

at least you can draw animals... I can reasonably paint the occasional house if I get the perspective right and the surrounding plants, but otherwise... it's not great

All covers are drawn by me. I used to draw back when I was in middle and high school but I stopped because I got bullied for it. Drawing and loving anime at the time was frowned upon and anyone who loved it got bullied. I started drawing again about a year and a half ago because I can't afford a professional artist so I'm doing it myself for now.

But anyway, I drew this when I was getting back into art. I was getting used to digital drawing and was having fun in Procreate. I couldn't decide what to do for my haiku collection's cover so I used this. It was meant to be a temporary cover, but it's not. It's been the cover forever and I don't have plans on changing it. The text is from Canva because I just thought it was cool. :joy:

As for my fantasy story's cover, I drew all the characters myself. It's not the best (I know), but it's going to have to do for now until I can come up with something better. :sweat_01:

mostly just birds and fish for me, occasionally arthropods. I can do some mammals but they take much longer and are about a fifty fifty failure to success rate I think.

Basically I can draw a mean squirrel and an absolutely awful chihuahua

Flowers are my primary strength and I just really enjoy drawing pretty, chubby fashion girls

hey, everything is a process, what matters is that we get back into it and don't let what other people think about our interests stop us

Yup! I've been drawing more now and my YouTube feed is now filled with art tutorials. I didn't plan on getting back into art, but I'm glad that me being broke and needing covers for my stuff forced me back into it.

Honestly these are really good! I can't get any animal or people proportions right just yet, so everything looks kind of wonky. At least I can use a ruler to make sure my buildings have straight lines. And flowers are pretty forgiving even when you don't really know what you're doing :joy:

Thank you lol.

If you don't know what you're doing say it's impressionism and call it a day lol

I draw all of my own! And then I hate all of them :sob: Been making chapter covers as well recently

But I do like my banner and my square card :)>

I made all of them myself. I made the first one by taking a photograph while I was out for a walk. On a street near my home I saw a half melted snowman. I had long had the idea to make a cover which featured a photo of a snowman. This would not be lazy, but it would be a way, in case it were published in 3-in-1 editions, to fool old people into buying it, mistaking it for a novel. So I photographed the snowman and took the photograph home where I used Paint 3D. The rest, as they say, is history.

Drew it myself. I know I'm about due to make a new cover...

i'm making a new one for each book, but fortunately I won't need a new one until like, next year

Well since I heard this news that Tapas tends to ban stories with ai generated artworks, I did it myself. Let me tell you, it was a nightmare, but in the end I’m pretty satisfied with what came out.

21 days later

This one I made myself for my new series (debuting June 15th) with a TON of editing. I made another version first that I think was really pretty, but my editor rightly noted that it didn't match the vibe of the story quite right. For some reason the current one makes me think of a bath and bodyworks shop though lol.

I drew the morning glory in water color pencil on the back of my sketch book because I have no space in my journal. Then I tried to paint it, but the cardboard reacted weirdly to water. Then I took a pick uploaded it into Canva and edited it digitally. This is the sum of all that hard work, but I'm proud of it. Maybe someday i'll be good enough to actually design covers, because tricky as it is, I find I really enjoy it.

This is what the picture looked like before hand (but after being ruined by water TT)

Made mine in Krita over a year and a half ago when I first started publishing.

There's also this not-yet-published one for the upcoming season 2, redone in CSP, and was much easier to do, though I'm sure not everyone will like the change once its up.

As you can tell, I'm really into stained-glass looking art.

Also did my own banners and thumbnails(which need to be updated cause of my style change).

I was trying to figure out what vintage look they were reminding me of lol
