Inspired by Sonic the hedgehog characters & changed throughtout years, my story/world characters are all anthro characters. Mostly consists of mammals, amphibians/reptilians & avian species. My lore about the species is very loose unless when I develop more when needed. Unofficially I like to call them 'animal folks' for those in settlements such as tribes, village, towns etc.

Those who lives in the wilderness are called 'Savagers', many have to be strong, many form groups, and the weaker ones becomes scavengers etc. All in all It's survival of the fittest. (my current story is not about the Savagers)

All the animal characters are more human sized (around 80%) instead of animal sized (like in Zootopia or Beastars) The artstyle of the characters can be cartoonic, or semi-realistic based on how I want them to look XD.

In my series, humans and anthro dogs and cats live together in the same society and while it isnt explicitly stated yet, the three species interbreeded with one another and I've ingeniously called the dog/cat human mixes........Hybrids. Literally just humans with a dog/cat nose and a dog/cat tail. One such hybrid is one of my comic's main characters, Sarah, along with her father.

They are everywhere since the planet Zeal has magic everywhere. There are hundreds of gryphon variants and other chimeras.

The most notable one is the Mowl (mole-owl) gryphon. They live underground, but they can make good pets.

My story is about shapeshifters who can take animal form. They’re not really hybrids…

…except Daecon. He is an extremely rare, extremely powerful, and extremely stupid (because he is new at all of this and only discovered that he was a shapeshifter yesterday) class of shifter. He can form human/animal hybrids and is the only living shapeshifter who can do so. The first time he shifted was quite by accident and it was a hybrid shift.

The only hybrid form he’s shown so far are Human x Eagle, but he will eventually discover that he can do any hybrid he wishes to.

Smoke, the bard

Fun Fact: the original draft had Smoke as a completely different race and name. He was originally a half-human, half-tiefling named Levi. Something seemed a little... bland about him.

One day I got the idea to make him a grey cat named Smoke, complete with a cat-like wishy washy personality. His backstory includes an Orange cat named Fire. Where there's Smoke there's....

I've got 'em! Two types, even.

Blaisefolk and Demiblaise are two races originating from the experiments of an ancient wizard and his followers. This cult practiced a (now outlawed) form of magic which focused on the manipulation of souls. While the teachings of these people have now been sealed away by popular religious authorities, the descendants of their experiments have worked to integrate into society.

Blaisefolk resulted from the combination of an animal soul and a sentient soul into one. They appear as anthropomorphic animals. I've had two characters of this race introduced to this point:

Marion, a coydog bartender from Yoteskill...

& Tara, a bovine maid who helps take care of my deuteragonist's children.

Demiblaise resulted from the cohabitation of two souls within one body. They appear as animal-people with the ability to take any form between their sentient race and animal. One of my main characters, Charlotte, is a demiblaise containing the souls of a human and a wolf.

they were the first 6 to ever exists, originally made to be super solders created by the evil tyrant Apooclys , but have since left those ranks and turned against him , each of the knights has a list of super powers, some from their own biology like heightened senses , they are also much stronger, smarter and faster then a human, as well as having some mild telepathy, but beyond that they each have a set of powers, an offensive ability, which is an elemental power like hydrokinesis or geo kinesis, a secondary defensive power like umbrakesis or toxogenisis, and adding on a third ability that is unique to them, such as super strength and healing, as a note in universe half beasts like them are known as chimerans and being the knight were once terrifying tools used by an evil alien tyrant they have instilled fear ,and hate among humans of their kind

I’ve got cat hybrids that live nine lives - each life they turn more catlike! They gain characteristics (cat ears, whiskers, paws, a tail) after they go through a life and are born in litters like actual cats, so it’s usually twins/triplets.

'Hybrid' isn't technically what Rip from Dragon Sparking is. He's a dragon guy. Close enough I guess
