I... already broke SAI, help

I'm kind of embarrassed by this but I've owned Paint tool SAI for about two days and I just closed out of it and when I tried to reopen it and it wouldn't*. I'm currently using Windows 8 if that helps.

*I'm sorry I can't give more information than that, that's really all I know...

Maybe this isn't how you do it in Windows 8 (which I don't own), but it's worth a shot.

Right click your taskbar, go into Task Manager. See if it's still running in the background, and if it is, terminate it. Wait a few minutes, then try and open it again.

If that doesn't work, try rebooting your computer and try to open it after that.

If THAT doesn't work, then go into "My Computer", go into your Program Files folders (if there's more than one on 8 like there is on 7, I dunno these things) and find the Paint Tool SAI folder. Go into it, and try opening the application starter from that folder (the actual .exe file).

If none of these things works, you might have to try re-installing it.

Well is impossible that you brake software, so don´t worry =p

Do as UzukiCheverie told you, but another posible solution (because i use it with other programs, not sure for SAI) before re-installing may be to check out at any of this adresses:

"c:\Users[your user profile]\" or "c:\Users[your user profile]\appdata\local" or "c:\Users[your user profile]\appdata\roaming"

look out for the SAI folder and delete it, this will reset the program and next time you open it, it will re-create the default folder.

You can also go to the tab in Task Maneger called "Processes" and manually End Process for SAI.exe. That usually works for me without needing to restart my computer.
In fact, anytime you have a misbehaving program running when it shouldn't, searching for it in Processes is a good way to fix it. Just be careful you know what you're turning off...

ok I've gotten it working, restarting the computer was I had needed to do (it took over an hour, which was a little odd).

You might want to check out your computer then, make sure it's running properly! If you have an anti-virus program (which you should), then start running scans, see if there are any programs that are taking up an unnecessary amount of space and memory, or are actually conflicting with your computer's ability to run. Hopefully you don't have a virus, but something might be up if it's taking your computer an hour to restart (honestly, if it were me, I would have just held in the power button to shut it down manually, ain't nobody got time for that). Although you might just be using an old computer, I dunno, you tell me :U

I did shut it down manually when I realized it was going a bit screwy, it went a lot faster after that.
And my dad ran some program* to clean it off a bit to make sure nothing was on it that shouldn't have been
