I'm surprised I didn't see this question, but I'll add my input. From my personal experience, and this is after being on different writing websites, I don't feel Tapas is a good fit for writers wanting to build a readership. Unless you're a premium novel writer, your story will be hidden here, thus making it hard for readers to find your work. If you read the current reviews on the Tapas mobile app, many users feel Tapas is only a paid content platform, no Free stuff. That alone hurts creators that create Free content. If users feel that way, then they won't dive deeper through the website to find actual Free content that exists.
As much as I hate to say this, if you want readers for your work, you're better off trying Wattpad for a while. Many new writing websites recruit Wattpad's popular writers for their own sites. This includes Tapas, Radish, and now, even FunFic. If you make it semi-popular on Wattpad, maybe one of those companies will contact you and offer you a contract.
However, please know that Wattpad has many issues, some worse than Tapas. There is rampant plagiarism that the website ignores, favoritism, and many writers bully each other there. The ambassadors on the site sometimes aide in the bullying inside of stopping it.
I feel if you avoid the threads and focus on posting your work, you may get a decent following in 1-5 years. Remember, most writers lack patience, and you have to be sooo patience on these writing websites.
In the end, you need to decide for yourself if you want to post your stories on multiple websites. This is just my experience and the things I've noticed.
