What software are You using? Bcs I have no problem with it in Krita or Inkscape.

you can use Area scaling!

depending on your program.

that way you can get into those corners a lot better!

~impromptu coloring tutorial to help and just generally make coloring slightly less a pain~

use wand tool to select everything outside of lineart.

invert selection add create a layer mask folder. create a fill layer inside folder and edit the mask to fix any spots the selection missed

lasso tool fill the hair and paint bucket everything else on top

potato quality gif because it was only way to get the file size down

I just fill the selection in with a paintbrush on "dissolve". The angles on my hair are just too acute and while I know once you zoom out it's barely noticeable-- I NOTICE.

I don't like colouring in general.
One handy tip for colouring tips is to use a layer below, you can see what you're doing and can clean up around it without interfering with the line work.

Even with area scaling there is always this little pixel that is never colored.

I'll support InkRose on using reversed magic wand. The problem spots are then outside, which usually don't stand out unless it's a bright color, but then they're easy to see and fix as you put down your flats.
