Okay so here's the scoop.
I've not been here very long. So far I've enjoyed my time, what little there is of it. I have a single comic series up since December. It hasn't been noticed much, but that's not why I'm considering taking it down (if that's even possible).
I don't think my comic is 'suited' for TAPAS. In that the way the comic is done just isn't optimal for TAPAS.
My comic's 'style' is rather traditional. Instead of utilizing Tapas' down-scrolling format, my series so far has been a simple 'page by page' kinda deal, like most other sites tend to do (DA, Smack Jeeves, etc). Each 'episode' is a new page. And while I thought this would be okay, since people see new content twice a week, apparently I'm getting complaints that the episodes are 'too short' (this was actually on Webtoons, not here. But same format there regardless).
I'm quickly seeing that perhaps my comic just isn't meant for this place. I really wanted to fit in, but it would take a LONG time for me to not just reformat the existing pages to be better and more interestingly viewed here, but I'd also be sacrificing the OTHER sites I post my comic at, places that can't handle the longer down-scrolling format.
So I'm at a crossroads...I can't very well make the same series but formatted two different ways. I'm already hard pressed for time with making it this one way. What do I do? Should I just remove my series from here (and probably Webtoon) and come back if I ever can give it the proper 'showing' it needs (it's unlikely that'll ever happen though, let's be honest). Or should I just keep it going anyway the way I have been and hope it's 'unfitting' format wont' kill it in the long run? Should I try and 'chunk up' pages a bit and make episodes thicker, but released less often (I personally think more often is better, even if you get it in bites. But maybe I'm wrong)? If I did that though, Tapas and Webtoon would be behind compared to the other sites the comic is at (you could easily go elsewhere and see pages 'early' before you see it on TAPAS for example, even if the page is just a piece of an episode).
Any advice would be appreciated. I feel like my series is dead in the water already just because it's not utilizing everything that better comics on this site do.
