So far the “funny” things he says and does are mostly non-sequiturs or him doing random things. He’s just not clever because there’s never anything to be clever about.
How do I fix this?

Sorry I thought this question was different enough from the other one. But now that I think about it it’s literally the same question but more narrow.
Ironically this came more naturally when I was a worse writer, and the story just naturally lead itself into at least one exchange that’s an extended sex joke. I don’t remember most of them but they were everywhere.
Puns are easy to create without having a formal setup or straight man.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a non-annoying funny pun in something that’s not a rap song. Have you seen one?
What kind of jokes? Like dry humor, self deprecating or just funny ones?
