I want to create a webtoon but I'm a writer, not an artist (HELP)

I would like to produce a webtoon as a gift for one of my friends. I am okay at drawing when I have something I can directly copy. That being said, I'm better at scenery and objects than I am at faces and bodies, as I always get the proportions off and eyebrows are such a struggle for me, I'm not sure why

I'm a complete newbie, so would anyone be able to provide me with some resources that I can use to draw digital art and create comic panels in the webtoon style? I have a pro and pencil and currently use Sketchpad for drawing.

I realise that I'll need to spend some time practicing poses and faces, so any suggestions on where I can find examples would be great!

To conclude, any must-have software, online or physical resources for practice, videos etc would be much appreciated

I usually use SenshiStock for pose references - they've been posting references on their Deviantart page since I was in high school and their website has a gadget that randomly selects poses for you to practice. It even lets you set a timer if you want to do quick sketches.

As for software I've never used Sketchpad so I can't be of much help on that front. If you're looking for recommendations I've got no complaints with Clip Studio Paint, otherwise I'd suggest searching Youtube for tutorials on your software of choice.

Clip studio paint is a great software I agree! the Pro prices are reasonable. Although there are free software options. So far I personally stand by CSP.

Hi !
The great thing with Clip Studio paint is that you can download 3D assets on it. A LOT of artists on webtoon use them (for backgrounds, entire scenes, characters, furnitures, objects..) It allows people who can't draw too much to be able to make an entire comic anyway You can manipulate the 3D characters in the position you want, in every angles. It's very useful. It might take time to learn how it works but it's pretty easy and there's a lot of tutorials on the software and youtube.
You'll have to do the clothing and face expressions, hair etc by yourself but most of the difficult parts can be made with the assets, or it can at least help you as a base to draw.

This may be misleading, I use Clip Studio and def it doesn't draw for you the assets may speed up things like adding jewelry or laces but thats it. Still need to learn to draw to use it.

Edit: the premade backgrounds are bad idea if you can't draw at the exact same style and hab level as the background-maker.

Ooh this is quite interesting. CSP has been mentioned a few times so I'll definitely give it a try and watch a few videos to see how it works. I reckon it may possibly save me some time in the long-run if I don't need to draw every scene.
