Ideas for monster children?

Okay, so. This is a bit of a long story. ^^;

The short version is, I'm going to create some characters that are both (a) supernatural/occult monsters (maybe based on existing ones, but if so only loosely) and (b) kindergarten-age children. ^^ So if you have any ideas, please share them; I'd appreciate it~

Now for the long version: a night or two ago I came up with the random title 'Enigma Youchien' (youchien=kindergarten). I was gonna just add it to my list of 'cool and cute names for things I might use someday', but before I even finished typing it in I had an idea for what it might be. See the above~

It'd probably make a great setup for a comedy/slice-of-life manga, but the project I had in mind is a bit more contained: a visual novel~

I've been messing with CloudNovel all week, and I've finally gotten more or less comfortable with its interface. But the project I've been using to experiment with it is kinda...well, big. And also weighed down by nearly a decade of old ideas that I have to weave in...I think a simpler, newer idea might be more likely to become a finished product within the next month or two.

So yeah, I'm gonna write some silly interactions between monster kids and a new kindergarten teacher, and we'll see how it goes. ^^
Why am I telling y'all this, though? BECAUSE, I'm looking for collaborators!

Both Discord (which I use for storing assets) and CloudNovel itself are collaboration-friendly, so I think it'd work out well.
I'm interested in character designers, writers, composers, BG artists, and even "programmers" (as in, people who'll put all the things together in CloudNovel. If you don't know how to use it, but want to learn, I'd be willing to teach you the basics; it's not too hard).

So, TL;DR
1) If you have any ideas for monster child concepts, gimme please
2) If you are interested in being a larger part of this project in any way, let me know. I'll definitely do it by myself if I have to, but if I had some help I could start on it right away. ^^

Soooo..... just to warn you, I don't fuck with cloudnovel anymore because their CEO/dev is a horrible, ableist person, and also utterly unreliable. The game engine is buggy as all getout, and since it's all browser based, once she drives her company into the ground, all your work will be lost. I had a few games on there, but recently unpublished them because I don't want to give her ad revenue after some of the shit she was posting on twitter.

As for monster children, Medusa springs to mind.

Well lets see, I guess I would take kindergarten archetypes and work from there. Theres the super friendly kid who's pals with everyone, the super serious kid who's base expression is a scowl, the little princess, the trouble-maker, the shy kid etc. I feel like for a shy kid it might be cool to have a monster that's always under a sheet. Not a ghost just always under a ghost style sheet and no one really knows what's under there. I don't know it's just an idea.

You know, I had a feeling something was up with the management (there was a recent "announcement" that made me suspicious about her professionalism)...besides, pretty much every new, exciting thing I find to play with gets shut down within the year; I'm not going into this with any long-term expectations. :6

But just for the record, isn't it possible to export a finished game? I assume you have to pay for it, but I wanna know.

Just to let you know, there is a monster PreK show called Super Monsters.

Make them horrifying but have a heart of gold. Seriously, its so under utilized. Have them look like silent hill monsters or something but be sweet and caring. Something like that sleep paralysis demon comic

Oh, of course; I'm aware that this is hardly an original idea. ^^ "Monster classroom" is practically a trope already; I'm just aging it down.

And for the record, I'm looking to make designs that are a little less anthropomorphic...like less "kid with blue skin" and more "vaguely human shaped creature".

It is, and you do have to pay for it, but I think a one-time download isn't too expensive. Just know that if you use PC and want to make a download available for mac, you won't be able to download the file to your PC without corrupting it, so if you really want it you'll have to find someone with a mac that you trust and give them access to your account to download it for you.

And yeah... that "announcement" is related to the twitter rant in question.

If you're looking for a theme idea, how about the children survivors of fairy tales/ folklore.
Like the children of Hamelin being turned into rat hybrids by the Pied Piper. Or Little Red suffering from lychathropy and the ghosts of the children the witch ate before she was killed by Hanzel and Gretel. You could also bring it in from all over the world depending on where your story is set.
