Before or after editing or self-doubt makes me throw most of it away? 
More seriously, it doesn't matter to me how many words I write per day because what matters is the words that end up in the finished story. Everything written on one day might eventually be scrapped as unnecessary or replaced with a better vision for the same scene, chapter, etc.
Maybe there's not a single good answer to the question as phrased. It seems to mean as a continuous effort, & I think the number of words one can hammer out in each day probably won't depend on the finished length.
