Hello there, artists.

My name is Jason (penname), and I wanted to give this a try so if you are an artist but need a story, I can be of help, hopefully. I usually blog, but I've always wanted to know how much work does it involve to become a screenwriter for a series or comic, so no, no real experience in this, sorry. If I need to develop a skill in order to do this, I can do it.

The genres I'm into are mystery, thriller, cyberpunk, post-apocaliptic and psychological. But if you are interested in something outside those genres it's completely ok too, there's always time to try something different.

So here goes nothing. I don't really know what should happen beyond this point. Do I need to have a story already so an artist draws it or does the artist need to have an idea of a story so I can write it? Do I need to write like I usually do (storytelling) or do I need to write scripts?

PS. In case there's no artist willing to work with me cry, maybe some writing fellows can join me to work on a story? I don't know, I just need some purpose, or something to kill my time on stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes.

Hi minzinger,

Well, this is embarassing. I've been creating and deleting blogs all this time. Right now I'm writing on two, a friend's private blog and mine10, where there's nothing yet.

7 months later

just curious, did you ever make something? i think id be fun to see what you might have created, thats all XD.

Also, if you didn't find an artist and still want just something to write about, id be interested in co-writing something with you just for the fun of it.

Hello, and sorry. Nope, I got sucked into real life. But yeah, I'm still down. Let's write something!

If you're set on being a comic script writer, id recommend writing out some scripts on your own, then showing them around to see if any artists would like to pick them up.

(its gonna be tough to find one though, most artists would rather draw their own stuff unless they're getting paid)

That's what I was thinking recently. And yeah, it's not like people will pick them up just because. I'm just into writing and I thought for my stories to be turned into comics or to develop some artist idea might be an interesting activity.
