I am a huge fan of the Elseworlds concept by DC comics where they transplant one hero and their story to a totally different setting e.g. In Red Son Superman lands in Russia in another Batman lives in Victorian London.

If you could choose to relocate your story where would it be to and why? For me both Adrenaline Shots and Saturday Night Seance whilst they are set in the modern day would work equally well in the Gosh darnett 1950s as that is the vibe I try to riff off from time to time

I feel like adding setting anything in space makes it instantly cooler.

"It's Ulyssies... but in SPACE"

So probably that.

But seriously, I think If I had to change the setting for Skeletons in the Closet1 I would maybe pick the 1920's or something? It would give the whole thing a stronger film-noir/lovecraft vibe, which is roughly what I'm going for.

For my Minicomic1 I don't think I could set it anywhere else as it's setting is literally the entire point (spoilers I guess?)

For Legio Arcana1, I'd move it to the ballpark late 1890's or cusp of the 20th century. The supernatural elements of the story would translate well to a more gothic horror theme and that time period would fit well. I would move it back to Europe or even the east coast of the United States

Good question, these ideas are fun to play around with!

Victorian Era or the1920s

Victorian Era I love the style steampunk

1920s love the flapper dress

Spellbound1 is set in a turn of the century vaguely european setting. It would be fun to see it in an urban fantasy setting, more modern day. Or in the other direction full on swords and sorcery, medieval setting.

Since it's a superhero comic I think it would be cool to do it in a mithological era, I'm thinking something mesopotanian would be cool.

Phew, difficult question XD First off, my Manga is called Remember and plays in a medieval fantasy world:

I'd love to set in somewhere in the 20th century though if I had the chance =) between the 1950's and 1980's maybe? XD

Goblins of Razard1 is sorta placed in it's own unique world that helps drive the story, but I'd say Post WW2 New York would be interesting if Prince Reign was the son of a mafia leader, since the tension between him and his brother is very Godfather-esque. How to figure out the goblins and magic and all that would be an interesting twist. It would probably have a Harry Potter feel haha.

living in east london, i create east london / working class anywhere -london AUs for like all my stories. itd be cool to see a modern TWAW AU in east london &/ essex... i feel like its smth id write as a bonus for fun.

that said i second @niah146 's idea. everything is cooler in space. i rly like the idea of taking high fantasy and putting it in space, or taking scifi and putting it in middle earth. very fun.

Two Faced1 doesn't have that problem really...
But for the main setting I'd choose 1000 years into the future, It's open for more creativity. Set in England of course...

When it came to deciding whether Light and Dark1 would take place in a fictional world or in an altered version of our real world I ultimately decided to go with a fictional world of my own creation so I can have a bit of creative freedom. So if it could be set in a different time/place it'd be the other option I had where it takes places in a modified version of our real world.

I originally wanted my story to be located in 1970's Tennessee, but after some persuasion with my pal I realized that modern day technology/elements may be more relatable for what I'm going for...and after some MORE thought I decided to instead placed the story in my home country of Canada. I think it's still working out well, but I'd still like to make a story someday that takes place in the 20th century!

Sometimes I think about what my comic would be like if it was fantasy instead of sci-fi. It would be very similar but the alien species would be switched with different magical creatures like elves and fairies. I like the way it turned out though. I don't think I would change it.
