Alright, the "tweeny romances", I can understand the annoyance. But when it comes to comics that protray "boys' love/girls' love", it's a very slippery slope, fam. I think you've seen the threads on where that demonstrates that, and how much of a thin line is it between "the comic being stereotypical yaoi" and "positive LGBT+ content" -- in other words, you can't just jumble it all together and say "that's how it is"
In any case, you do sound very jilted that it seemingly the only popular thing out there on Webtoons, Tapas, and the others. And with that, I will only direct you to some posts I've done before:
All in all, this is a business. These are not just hosting websites. These are businesses. Webtoons is giving away over 100k for a contest -- to invest in comics they think will make them money. Tapas is recently new, and is not at the place that can provide that. These businesses invest in things that make money.
Is it fair? No, it's not. I still wish they'd do better at advertising all genres and getting readers interested. But this is how it is in the publishing world.
You gotta make them want you and make them know you're a good investment.
Even if you're not in it for the money, this still applies. You have to know what you're going into.
