Hi!

Thanks for the shoutout! Though it is just a shout out, it still made my day to be noticed and remembered!
Also, never knew you could use Instagram as a writer!

If I'm allowed time to create a new one for my work, then I'd like to join too! My personal Instagram is too personal and I can't let parents know what kind of story I'm writing cough

Edit: Made one. Still empty but will work on it tonight! I have few materials to upload.

I'm active on instagram a couple times a day - and I'd love to check out everyone's work. My account's super small. I started from scratch a few months ago, not telling any friends or family I've been writing and drawing - and growing that way has been sloooow lol

I have a large network abroad too that aren't involved in my creative universe because they already have an entirely different image of me as a person. I think coming out to them as a BL comic artist and a Fantasy Romance novelist would break their minds and isolate me even further (I laugh at this but I am also somewhat terrified)

omg yesss! Same! It's hard, isn't it? Your network super conservative? A lot of mine are lol. It feels like this weird (and lame) secret Though, I think some of them would be OK, some of fam and friends really wouldn't, and once you tell one, you've got to tell everyone. And I don't want it to be a confrontation or it to turn into gossip, so ... I guess starting instagram from scratch it is!

I've had to completely separate my socials and writing from my real life and actual name. It's been kind of freeing, though, so it's all good

It's the same for me. Tho the network I have a mainly acquaintances from Asia (yeah the part of the world that does a lot of BL stuff lol) but the reality of it is just that the content is accepted in the shadows, but not in reality and as an identity.

The only thing that would ok for them would be me having the title as a webtoon artist, but if they knew it was BL they would be disgusted tbh

Same! My country is an Islamic State. Recently it was under fire due to the news of Syaria Law. Don't worry though, no one has been stoned to death. Western media just over reacted. Anyway, yeah... if my parents ever knew what we (me and my two younger siblings) are into... we'll be doomed!
