Hello My name is Mimi, I'm an artist, and a quark Comic creator. I usually think I'm funny when I know I'm not but I guess people like my awkward humor- HAHA. I've never actually been on the forms because I dont usually know what to say to things and people. I'm kinda really shy- but I try not to be.

I'm the artist and one of the writers of Adrast Which is a fantasy adventure based comic that I have been working on for about 2-3 years now. Um its improving in both art and story telling. I work reeeally hard on it, and am trying to improve my skills more. It is a Long form comic and it updates every week one page- which I know is slow but I'll try to make it faster.

I also write a short form comic called The Not So Wonderful Life of Mimi, which I kinda neglect a lot. Not because I dont want to do it but because I run out of things to draw for it sometimes, also I'm super busy with Adrast and... //cough// video games.

I'd like to make more series later on in the future but will how I work on adrast it might be A LONG time in the future. //sweats//

Hi I'm James Boyd and I just posted my webcomic @SunnySideUP . Its about an egg, a piece of celery, a carrot, and a tomato who live in the real world. Most of the time they greet the problems of life with wry sarcasm.

I started drawing these on a white board and eventually figured out how to trace and paint them on computer. I am also a graduate student in a physics Ph.D.program. I am married and have an 8 year old son.

I try to follow four rules with Sunny - make at least one comic everyday, post anything that is done as soon as its' done (no waiting or holding comics over to post the next day, write comics that anyone of any age might enjoy, write comics that make me laugh not that I think will make others laugh. So far I have only missed creating two days since Easter. If anyone else uses their own rules let me know. I like knowing about others processes.

I've done a few comics before, but had about a 3-4 year pause because of school and stuff. So here's my (re)debut.

My name's Jessica or otherwise known as AkaOkami.
I'm actual more of a computer major but I've loved drawing for as long as I can remember. So after years of doodling in high school notebooks and making up alternate worlds in my head, I've decided to make a comic myself.

I'm currently working on Identity, my comic, which centers on the lives of certain individuals, who live in a world where super-powered beings aren't all that out of the ordinary.
The characters struggle to find their place in the world. To find who they are themselves. And to realize that super heroes aren't the only ones that have alter egos.

I'm still rather new to the site, so I can't say I have any favorite artists or comics from the site at the moment. But I can't wait to dive in to see everyone's amazing works.

I am Mineu (also nicknamed Moon Dreamer). I'm just starting with my original webcomic series named:Tsukiko: The Moon Child's Wish. Before that one I used to make short doujinshi but nothing ever as long as this proyect... so let's say this is my first time doing an original webcomic. In the future, I want to have my own comics editorial and publish others comics and my comics too!

You should read my comics because I can promise you it is full of surprises! The story revolves around a Star girl (Tsukiko) who once fell from the sky as a shooting star and how she's going to return to the Heavens. On that journey she'll meet both friends and foes, struggle with a war between two rich families and confront her past. I can say this story has many twists and some characters motives are secretive and mysterious Give it a try!

I am quite new to this site, I think I started uploading like three months ago so I haven't read that much to say I have a favorite webcomic. But right now I'm reading Furusato House which is a comic an internet friend of mine is doing.

Well, I'm sorry I talk that much, believe me I'm only like this in the internet hehehe (I'm actually pretty bad at promoting my work, I feel awkward to do so).

Anyway, I draw funny comics, sometimes nerdy, sometimes geeky, sometimes mundane, often random. I like making people laugh. I'm insecure about my artwork, but I'm working on it. Hi everyone!! I've had a few interactions with some of the awesome folks who contribute here(and there are so many talented creators, this place is like heaven to a guy like me who loves indy stuff), but I thought since today is the first day I'll begin posting my series I might as well make a formal introduction.

My 'name' is Starlight City Pro, which is short for my author pen name The Starlight City Project, and I am the author and creator of a new self published sci-fi manga/anime inspired graphic novel series, R:ILPERSONA. I'm a writer/character designer only(i can't draw...i envy so many people on here lol), but I've been blessed to work with some really talented artists over the last few years as I have been putting my series together. Hi @michaelson! We're kinda new to Tapastic so this is cool to see an 'official' thread for intros! Thanks so much for putting this up!

My name is Carrie, and I work with a team of two other people, Alan and Havana, on a little comic we call Kamikaze.

The story is set in a desolate future, feudal corporations hoard the last patches of fertile crop land. A young courier is unwittingly thrown into a life or death game of espionage and sabotage from which she may never escape. It's ultimately a story about what happens when the first hero shows up after the world's already ended.

It's a sci-fi, action, drama and we started out as an animated series concept. A bunch of executives we talked to LOVED the idea, but...well, we're not Batman. Because we had no fanbase we were considered too risky for production. However, we weren't content to wait around for someone to give us permission to tell our story. So we started Kamikaze as a comic! Right now we're around 70+ pages!

As for reading?
We're huge fans of Big & Tall Tales Hunter Black. It's a hardboiled fantasy series that has beautiful black and white graphics. It also started out as an animated pitch, but ended up as a webcomic and he's wonderful. If you liked Samurai Jack you should really check it out!

Then of course there's @fanyart's wonderful Trivia from Nature. The art work is phenominal. Just blows me away, and the work is always informative, cute and charming. It's probably my favorite recent find!

Also @linkinlog's Thunderbird! @AnnaLandin's adorable and beautifully rendered Grassblades, and @sugarfiend's gorgeous SilverSong!

We're always looking for new webcomics to read, as we're pretty new to the comic world. Any suggestions for awesome sci-fi or action would be amazing (doubly so if they're narrative based)!

Here I am publishing Zoonland, a comic book with a cartoon-style drawings and a comedy-like story. I don't feel like I am a good writer (especially comedy writer), but I am trying my best to improve. I am posting the pages of the first issue on a daily basis.
