Is comic making your only passion?

its really cool to hear other folks interest in making comic. Theres often this stereotype of "artists" being weirdo hermits who just work on art stuff, but demonstrably, anyone can be creative.

I have passion for music (singing, writing, playing guitar, and just listening). I also have a degree for the Museum because was fasciated with those institutions. I was working in that field too, but ultimately realized it wasn't for me.

I'm passionate about art & craftsy stuff other than comics too- I kind of feel like doing traditional art for me is so different in feeling than digital that they are basically different hobbies to me. I also used to needlefelt, but I haven't really had the impulse to do that in a while . . .

I love making comics and art, but I also like sewing, knitting, Warhammer 40k, scuba diving, doll repainting, listening to vinyl and baking.

I do like drawing cartoons and comics and stuff. I would not call it my only passion but it is one of my main.

Other things I like...

• Doll/Toy collecting

• Retro gaming, especially PC and old web stuff. I also like learning how games are made like production, programming, and glitches

• Pre and post film production. As well as retro film. I used to have a job working with old film reels so that is maybe why

• Reading into music history. Like where songs come from and what people were listening to 100 years ago.

My main passion is not specifically comic, but comic is the best medium to pour in my needs for creativity. I would say I like creating concepts more; story; storyboard; character designs, background designs, compositions, world buildings, lores etc. I want to be director, producer, writer, cinematographer and concept designer at once, but in comic. That’s already a massive and heavy role without the real physical drawing part. This is why my dream is to have enough fund to hire artists to help me because I can’t bear the grind of so many other very important responsibilities alone. Don’t get me wrong I really like drawing and such but not at comic level pace which is insane and I am continuosly amazed by comic authors who make comic solo( I currently am, but we’ll see how far I go lmao)
As for whether comic is the only passion….definitely not, I have adhd so my passion changes every month or so lmao I like gardening, craft, building things with my hands and so many others but comic is the most consistent since I was young.

It is both my passion and hobby, I also have a passion for trying to make a youtube channel out of it someday with the help of Adobe Software for 2D animation.

I even have a hobby and interest in learning 3D modeling, and animation with the use of a blender, It's complicated but you'll get used to it.

Yeah it is my passion. I love drawing characters and the story. It's hard to make, but it's something I had fun drawing. Comic is something I'd like to do for a living someday. There are hobbies I enjoyed including video games ( when I have time and energy ) and exploraton. I'm also looking other passions I enjoy doing.

Sometime I feel like my comic is the only thing in my life that I care about but I do have other hobbies. I tried hiking the other day and I quite liked it so I'll try it again but not in the winter tho lol. I also enjoy
solving puzzles, I have made a few videos, and I'm interested in retro tech

It is my strongest passion for sure, but I'm the kind of person that went throught 40 different clubs as a child and dropped hobbies left and right.

I love writting and of course it's a part of comic making, but I do love writting fanfics.

I went ice skating a week ago after 4 years of not doing so. Our weather never stays cold and snow melts after a day, but then it snows back and the cycle repeats causing the lake to not be safe for ice skating. I loved it so much. I've always loved it and want to learn more. My family always went on the ice, so of course lil old me had to go too. I miss that.

Guitar is a prolonged passion that I kept dropping. This is the furthest I've gotten in learning it (I kept forgetting everything and getting bored). I have to learn a ton of things. I know I'll drop it at some point, but I'm determined to keep this passion for a long time.

And of course there are the minor passions that show up once a year - Baking, swimming(fave activity and I went swimming once last year-a hassle getting your hair wet and having to get dry-too many steps), bike riding, crocheting, dancing, singing.

I would say my passions are physics, engineering and science fiction in any form, comics are just more fun to make than prose and easier than animation

Oh no, the only passion I had in my life is baking as this is both my talent, hobby and passion. The "comic making" is only a part of my hobby to entertain me. You see, I'm a Malaysian baker who loves to bake and uses it as my career. I've spent my free time doing baking at home to enhanced my skill in baking. The reason why I took comic making as a hobby is because I'm an imaginative person who wanted to bring my fantasy world to reality and show to people what am I dreaming. This is my work at home

Like op, I also make music! I've always been really passionate about music and collecting it in physical form (CDs, vinyls, cassettes). Back in the day (lol) I was so inspired by Trance music that I started seriously learning how to make music at the age of around 14. I got a Yamaha keyboard and Ableton Live - the works. Thanks to this extra hobby, I'm able to produce my own soundtracks for my books! I'm not Hans Zimmer but I'm proud of my skills. (And yes, that's me singing in the last track.) Also, ngl - my CD collection is pretty sweet.
