Is comic making your only passion?

is comic making your only passion or are there other hobbies and stuff u like aswell, for me even tho drawing is and always will be my main priority I sometimes just sit back and make music, I've always love music, how about you people? Do u have other things that interested you?

I wouldn't even call it my main passion. That would be either writing, or video editing. Not really sure which one at this point. But I also just enjoy casually drawing, let's playing, etc.

Oh! I also like singing, but I suck at doing it.

I like writing, other than drawing, which is evident by the quality of my dialogue surpassing my drawing skillz.

As for passing the time, I love music, video games, movies and comic books.

I think it's too specific to say that comic-making is my main passion. For me, it'd be the broader umbrella of art in general. What comic making does is allow my passion for art to work together with my other passion, which is writing/storytelling. The two are inextricably linked for me -- I'm terribly bored by art that doesn't have a story. I'm not the type to, say, paint a bowl of fruit because it's pretty, most of the time.

While I wouldn't call them passions on the same level as art and writing, I do have a lot of other things in my life I pursue and deeply enjoy. I like sewing and cosplay, I like gaming (PC and tabletop RPGs), I like cooking and wine tasting, and I'm a voracious reader of a wide variety of non-fiction topics, and also enjoy reading a lot of urban fantasy series.

Comics is my main thing but this year I’ve started performing comedy and I’ve gotten very passionate about it. Reading LOTS of books and trying to get as much stage time as possible in my tiny tiny town. Its been amazing for my social anxiety and my confidence.

I also really enjoy dancing and usually spend at least an hour a day doing that every day.

I’ve been making a lil music here and there too but I’m still trying to really learn and figure it out in private.

its really cool to hear other folks interest in making comic. Theres often this stereotype of "artists" being weirdo hermits who just work on art stuff, but demonstrably, anyone can be creative.

I have passion for music (singing, writing, playing guitar, and just listening). I also have a degree for the Museum because was fasciated with those institutions. I was working in that field too, but ultimately realized it wasn't for me.

I'm passionate about art & craftsy stuff other than comics too- I kind of feel like doing traditional art for me is so different in feeling than digital that they are basically different hobbies to me. I also used to needlefelt, but I haven't really had the impulse to do that in a while . . .

I do like drawing cartoons and comics and stuff. I would not call it my only passion but it is one of my main.

Other things I like...

• Doll/Toy collecting

• Retro gaming, especially PC and old web stuff. I also like learning how games are made like production, programming, and glitches

• Pre and post film production. As well as retro film. I used to have a job working with old film reels so that is maybe why

• Reading into music history. Like where songs come from and what people were listening to 100 years ago.

My main passion is not specifically comic, but comic is the best medium to pour in my needs for creativity. I would say I like creating concepts more; story; storyboard; character designs, background designs, compositions, world buildings, lores etc. I want to be director, producer, writer, cinematographer and concept designer at once, but in comic. That’s already a massive and heavy role without the real physical drawing part. This is why my dream is to have enough fund to hire artists to help me because I can’t bear the grind of so many other very important responsibilities alone. Don’t get me wrong I really like drawing and such but not at comic level pace which is insane and I am continuosly amazed by comic authors who make comic solo( I currently am, but we’ll see how far I go lmao)
As for whether comic is the only passion….definitely not, I have adhd so my passion changes every month or so lmao I like gardening, craft, building things with my hands and so many others but comic is the most consistent since I was young.

It is both my passion and hobby, I also have a passion for trying to make a youtube channel out of it someday with the help of Adobe Software for 2D animation.

I even have a hobby and interest in learning 3D modeling, and animation with the use of a blender, It's complicated but you'll get used to it.

Yeah it is my passion. I love drawing characters and the story. It's hard to make, but it's something I had fun drawing. Comic is something I'd like to do for a living someday. There are hobbies I enjoyed including video games ( when I have time and energy ) and exploraton. I'm also looking other passions I enjoy doing.
