Is passionate kissing allowed?

Hey everyone!

So, as the title says, I wonder if Tapas allows passionate kissing. Let's say there's a tongue action here and there.

Does it need to be labeled mature content or censored?

I don't think it needs the mature tag nor that it needs to be censored. Regular tongue kissing should be fine.

Unless you did something extreme with the scene (there's always that one person that somehow turns something normal like tongue kissing into something so lewd that it looks lewder than corn).

As a creator I would label passionate kissing / kissing with tongue as mature content.

You can probably get through with it somehow without labeling it, but why should you make
mature content and then let non mature audience get access to it? That´s just my opinion about it

You see kissing with tongue in every daytime soap, teenage romance flick and romcom. I honeslt can't imagine why you'd need to mature label it. The only thing I can imagine is if the hands are up to somethng more.

No, mouth-to-mouth kissing doesn't need to be censored, what cannot be show on tapas (when it comes to kissing) is mouth-to-genitals (you can't even show someone's head being around another character's crotch area if that's what's happening), mouth-to-nipple and mouth-to-something-genital-resembling (one of my characters have tentacle hair and I was told to censor panels where ends of his "hair" where around other characters' mouths). But if it's just passionate kissing - no need to censor and I would say only put it behind mature content warning if it's a real jump up in intimacy in your comic and you think you've gathered and audience that would feel bothered by it.

I mean, if Tapas are promoting imagery like this (on their Instagram), I think kissing is pretty tame in comparison.

I don't know how it is in Tapas, but in Webtoon a Kiss, even in a romance webcomic shouldn't last more than 3-4 panels before being considered "Sexually Gratifying" aka Mature Content.

It'll depend on how explicitly or tame you draw it as well

Also that too. It really depends on the context. Like personally if they are in the bed is very different from French kissing in Paris or something. Also it depends on what kind of tongue action like are they licking each other for sexual gratification like yeah leave the rest to your imagination.

Kissing is OK. Tho if you are hyper-focusing on tongue touching, like what you see in an erotic manga, there might be a possibility your series might be flagged as fetish material.

Ive honestly havn't seen anyone ever get in trouble for that ever. Even a few premiums with those types of kissing that are openly advertised on thier banner, one thier ads you'll see all over instagram. But lets be real thats more them wanting to have thier cake and eat it

A mature tag at most if its going down the spicy route. Either way you'll be fine

@Katzalcoatl Anything beyond tongue kissing won't be shown/cut off once I upload it. I wondered if tongue kissing was considered too mature in Tapas. (I don't want to get banned, haha)

@AmeTsunami I wanted to make an extra episode featuring the main characters doing lovey-dovey things, and I thought having them kissed would be necessary. Since my characters are not teenagers, I wanted them to be more intimate than just pecking each other.

@HGohwell @Animefanka @Legendofgenii @NickRowler It's definitely just a kiss between the lips. Any further than that, I'd not publish it on Tapas! Looking at the promotion image, maybe it's unnecessary to put a mature tag!

No worries you are safe. "I Fell into a Reverse Harem Game!" Has tongue kissing. As well as many other manhwa featured by the site.

Like I said before you really have to do something in an extremely lewd way to become an exception.
