Is tapas for writers?

I published a part of my book here and so far I got only 6 views. The same story has thousands of views on webnovel and RR. Is it worth writing on Tapas?

Obviously, Tapas is for writers too. Less than for comics though, I guess. There's probably a much lesser audience on Tapas and it's hard to be seen unless you are on the front page.
Also, you published 2 chapters in 1 day and stopped updating, you should update constantly to be in Fresh, just to be seen somewhere. It's a matter of luck too.
Just a hint, your novel description is too long, people won't read 4 paragraphs of text to find out what the story is about.

As @Kelheor mentioned, it's important to release on a schedule like.... once a week or so. Make sure you've used tags too just in case. Provide proper images and such.

Try plugging it on a few threads to get the ball rolling. If you can get a few readers and likes, your novel will be more visible.

Novels can do well on Tapas, though it seems harder to get a lot of traction in genres outside of Fantasy, Romance and BL compared to some others.

The site is very different than Royal Road or Web Novel, so you have to learn how its systems and readers operate before you write it off. The viewership WILL be lower than those sites, no sugar coating it. But readers on here are nicer, comment much more, and seem to be a lot more open to reading things outside their wheelhouse.

I did the same thing. I published just the prologue to see how it goes and....yea. I had a little buffer so I uploaded more so people and see where the story is going and I got some more views (along with posting on twitter and such). Came here to the forums and did promos and it’s helped tremendously. As an avid reader on here, you kind of need to think like your audience and tailor your promos to catch there eye. So as said above, shorter description and tags that will draw people in

It takes time, I write one novel and now just started to update it regularly. Tapas has a great community where in the forums you can share your novel to try to have it reach other people to expand your audience. There are so many opportunities to promote your comics and novels and be able to view others as well. Being able to network with other novelists and comic artists alike will help with the views and such. Like I said it just takes time and may not happen right away. To get where I am now it took awhile and a rewrite of my current novel but I have goals and being apart of the Tapas community will help me out greatly.

I was on RR and on Tapas and while the views were higher on RR, I still took it down from there and decided to just use Tapas instead. I feel that the community is tighter and even made some friends. So yes it is worth in that sense.
There are novel here who do very well imo!

The only mistake I made (I think) Is make the chapters too long to start, but hence everything needs to be learned )

But I will NEVER regret using Tapas.

Interesting. I have the exact opposite experience, having much fewer views and subs on WebNovel and RoyalRoad.

Haha, I'm also on the band of better here than RR. I've been hovering at around 30 subs on RR for like a year now, and I've gotten much more traction on Tapas.

Kind of. Most people are here for webcomics but there is a small group for novels.
Now reaching those people is a struggle and a half so it's really up to luck a lot of the time.

While I have more views on other sites, I've received more active readers here. Maybe I have a lot of silent readers on the other sites I cross post to. I've had my writing on Tapas far longer then any other website though.

Eventually I decided to post it on Amazon and be over with it. So far I'm #1 as a best seller on three categories and reached ~1600 best seller rank.
