Is there a manga you find difficult to draw?

Nowadays I don't draw in other artist's manga styles...just my own.

Death Note and Naruto were the hardest styles for me to draw for the longest time, though.

I don't really imitate styles like that. If I draw fanart of something, I tend to do it in my own style, not trying to copy the original artist's style.

I try to learn from others styles by copying them, that's all. I wouldn't copy someone's style entirely for my own character, no, just to learn from them.

No but seriously, I'm still developing my own style, but I'm getting better. I've always been inspired by One Piece and Bleach, often trying to emulate them, but not seriously. Once I do get serious, I will find my limits. But in the process I'm always developing my own specific style.

I don't draw and I am not so influenced from manga style, but I think that one of the most difficult is Kentaro Miura's . It's a nightmare with all those details.

hmmm, I guess for me I have a comfort zone in the romance and drama genres. I don't think working with other genres would be too much of a struggle, just my problem would be I wouldn't have much passion working in it. For a specific genre I absolutely can't work in though, it would be comedy, I have a terrible sense of humor XD

In terms of drawing with a reference i would say highly detailed work like Fist of the north star or JoJo. But when im drawing my own I take some pointers from Bleach's art albeit very loosely.

Hm, when I was starting to draw seriously, I looked to CLAMP as inspiration, but I never got those big anime eyes down so I was like "screw it" and did a 180 and drew in a very western cartoony style for a number of years.

I don't really try to imitate anyone's style. But I sometimes copy some drawings to learn new techniques, it's not actually that hard to copy, but when you have to apply those techniques to your work by yourself it's another story.

My first big influence was Akira Toriyama when I was little and for some time later Kubo Tite. Now I aim for a more mature and detailed style, like Takeshi Obata, Yang Kyung-Il, Masakazu Katsura, Takehiko Inoue, Ishida Sui, Kentaro Miura, BOICHI, etc, etc.

Of course I'm still quite far from that, after all, all these people has been publishing manga for more than 20 years and I just started 2 years ago.

Over the years I've tried to be overly adaptable in being able to draw in someone else's style so i don't know what style I'd be difficult at. Probably one piece's style.

The magical thing is is that i originally drew in anime style and even to this day get asked "is that anime" every artist gets this asked once.

But since I've worked to make my own style (though a style anime inspired). I don't think i could ever fully go back to anime. I think it would take a different thought process.
