Unless you're working for industries that rely heavily on digital medium like video games, mobile apps, TV and movies, there's no obligation to learn or switch to digital. Use your inks by all means if you're most comfortable with them, and I don't think anyone minds analog or traditional works as long as they're presentable, understandable and pleasant to the eye.
Creating content digitally has become popular mostly because of its speed and convenience. It is also cheaper for many artists in the long run. And it is attractive to beginners because of shortcuts and "automatic" tools such as Sai and Clip Studio Paint's pen stabiliser. No right or wrong here; just stating probable reasons 
Personally, I have major respect for traditional artists because they can do amazing things without relying on the undo button. I can barely survive without it! Lol
