Schaeler usually scores between 30 and 40, and Dallas is usually around 50. Respectfully, I'm positive they are not Mary Sues or self-inserts, which makes their insanely high scores funnier to me.

Oh gods. I just got through laughing. I had no idea that test existed, but that was sweet! Every webcomic creator should be forced to take that test before deciding whether or not to continue with their new comic idea!

I got... 23 for Nintendo (not sure if some questions would really apply or not). Might try other characters later.

And some of those "de-suifiers" were kinda amusing because they describe my comic pretty well:
"Do you poke fun at your character's weaknesses and use them as plot devices/gags" - that's pretty much the point of most of Consolers
"If your character is all or partially non-human, does xe react in very non-human ways or in ways more appropriate to xir species that are not meant to be perceived as cute and endearing by the audience?" -they're companies, of course they're sometimes going to act in ways different to normal human morality.

I think this quiz is very heavily geared towards fantasy or sci-fi types of stories, which makes it a little difficult to apply to my horror/historical story... for example, the segment about race and nationality. It was obviously alluding to characters which are crazy special snowflake fantasy race hybrids, but TECHNICALLY... technically Dallas is biracial and foreign (in the US), so he racked up a lot of points in that segment lol.

Other segments, like the de-suifier segment, were also difficult to apply to my characters because they're morally deviant to the point that I have trouble dredging up very many redeeming qualities in them.

I humoured myself on most of them - I also did the "ehhh, maybe?" with a "Yes." There's lots of stuff that makes sense in-universe but I checked Yes anyway because why not?
Does Bouquin count as a "pet animal?" I checked it anyway. It wouldn't be happy hearing about that, lmao.

Some of those questions though ... like "Am I jealous of my own character's looks?" Well yeah you bet I am. My characters get to be attractive because I willed them into existence that way with a whisk of my pen. Spoiled pieces of shit.

Edit: I actually read the rules this time and it says to not check commonplace/in-universe things. OOPS. She became 30.

Got a 10 for Markesha, without the stuff that subtracted. After doing the 'subtracted' area we nose dived into negative numbers. x.X

Um...Wendall's score was a -9. There were more desuifiers that applied to him than anything else. My actual Mary Sue character is in the scripts on my website, and no, it's not the one named Mary Sue. She's named that as a joke on this very trope, but is actually just a hyper-competent woman in the Heinlein tradition.

Touching on the foreignness of certain characters, one of ours would absolutely rack up points there. Especially considering the language thing. In various parts of Europe it's pretty common for people to be bilingual, and now she's learning a third language (but struggling) on top of that.

Glad I'm not the only one struggling with it.

My main character Lucy scored a 9 though that test was a little hard for the type of story I'm making, I answered them all honestly though. Glad to see I was in the safe zone lol

LOL This is awesome that someone posted this here. I did this test about a year ago with my main characters of my story before I even got started drawing just to make sure they weren't Mary Sues. I'm glad that I was safe.
