Is your comic or novel location at where you live?

I think I live a little closer to where mine is set. Mine is set on a moon that is habitable, with plants, water, and so on, where genetic creations are running wild and attacking people.
If anybody does take a read I hope you enjoy.

For me, one of mine is in a sci-fi setting, so not even close to it. The other is a collection of spoken words, so not really either. But it's more of a faraway land, a dreamland of sorts where it all happened. Where the thoughts would form as a bubble if they touch it. It would replay the specific memory in there, each bubble could have a different color depending on the overall emotion of the event.

The exact country is never specified in my novel because I wanted people to focus on the different parenting techniques and effects of technology on our lives. Localizing it to a single country would take away from the fact that these are global problems that everyone faces. That being said, I did base it in a more Asian setting (in my mind) that is inspired by my own experiences growing up! So, in a way, my novel is located where I live - in my head at least.

Taiwan sounds interesting, I don't know much but always fun learning about diff countries
Nop the comic's based on a fictional island-country called Heavensea
It's a temperate climate, nautical themed, located the North Pacific, almost midway between the USA and Hawaii. The main characters' hometown is inspired by the New England states and Newport Oregon.
I however come from Trinidad (Caribbean)

My fantasy story is located in a desert place called the Plains, where a city named Gullveig controls all of the fertile grounds and tries to extend this control to water supplies and caravan routes.

Also, a shapeshifters' invasion is in progress.

Luckily, I don't live there

It's fantasy so it wouldn't be located anywhere in the real world, but I got inspiration from Ireland/England, Dubai, Russia and a bit east Asia.

And I am currently living in Germany, so not even close to the inspiration

I'm in the U.S. and while two short ones are here, my two longer fiction novels on Tapas are based in ancient China.

In order to understand my work, I spent months, including as I was writing, researching everything I addressed in the novels. I made friends with YouTube content creators, Chinese reviewers of C-Dramas, and have friends in China's film industry. They are very strict about historical accuracy, so I was able to find answers to my questions from so many wonderful people.

My Batman one-time fanfic is located in fictional Gotham.

My paranormal one is non-fiction, autobiography of a house I actually lived in when we were stationed in Connecticut, US.

Mine isn't, its set on a fictional country based on germany while I live in the Dominican Republic. However I have used pictures I have taken in my country as reference for someof the backgrounds.

Mine does! I live in Nova Scotia and the story takes place in Nova Scotia. In the beginning of the comic, it specifically takes place in the city where I live and I based the school off of where I went to school, and other locations are based off real life too. But eventually my main character will move somewhere else (which is also in Nova Scotia and is somewhere I have been).

For me, since my novel is a realistic-based novel, Yes! The location and the common happenings of my work are based on the reality happening in my country, the Philippines, especially in a classroom.

I made a little bit of spice to make it more look so impossible. Usually, when a new teacher became a classroom adviser, of course, it'll be awkward (in our country ig) at first, but the class' vibe also depends on the teacher's vibe. So if the teacher is energetic, lively, or jamming, likewise the students. But if the teacher is scary or strict, of course, the students would feel anxious and frightened HAHAHA. Yet this novel of mine is reverse. If the teacher is lively, the students buried hatred against the teacher. But who knows what'll happen at the end of the story, right?

I used my place as a references but then added a lot of details, so I guess it's not from where I live

It's not obvious at the moment, but the comic takes place in a suburb of Chicago, same as where I currently live. I have a future arc planned where Kiki and the boys visit Chicago for vacation.
