Technically, my focus MC is female, but the other primary POV characters are male (1:3) The side characters tend to be males too, but its closer to 50:50 than the main cast. And currently there is one male villain and one female villain.

My novel is an action novel, with a secondary genre of fantasy.

I have multiple main cracters, but my main main character is male, at least from my perspective. In my comic though, in terms of relevance to the story, more of my charaters are female. I used to only draw girls and since I've made an efoort to draw more boys, but the majority of my ocs are female.

the three main characters (and most of the story focus) is on the female cast, mostly because it's easier for me to design and write for a female character

I've rounded the cast a bit more out and added two more male characters that play a huge part on Lula's side of the story

The project I'm currently working on has an ensemble cast... but it's majority male characters (4 boys, 1 girl). Fantasy/Slice of Life/Action.

Lastly I have a project in my back pocket to work on in the future with another female lead. Again, action.

My stories tend to have male leads. In one of my series, though, the main character has a best friend that is a girl, and I'm wanting to try my hardest to make it a platonic relationship. I'll be fine if people ship them if the comic ever gets big enough for that, but canonically, she's his best friend that fights by his side, not a love interest that's just there being annoying and getting in the way. (Not saying that all love interests are that way. I just want to stay away from those kinds of tropes.) This story is sci-fi, by the way.
