It's wonderful... but what's happening?

Hi friends.
I've a question about how Tapas works. 'Cause a weird things is happening with my comics since yesterday (which is saturday, while my last episode has been realesed on thursday!).
Do not misunderstand me, it's a good thing and I'm really happy for this... But I can't explain why it is happening out of the blue, only now. I've started my comic strips four months ago. Since then I've received really few likes and subs. It's sad because I'm working really hard on it but it's part of the game and I accept it. You know this feeling.
Then, yesterday, out of the blue, without any particular reason, people begun to read it and like it (I love those hearts!). They are a LOT of notifications!!! But I don't know why now. At this point I can say I don't understand how Tapas works. Is there an algoritm like Instagram?
There's an episode which is receiving more like than any other. And it's not even the most brilliant comic.
I mean, I'm happy, of course... but I'd like to undestand the mechanism.
Can you help me?

Let me write a longer answer to explain my situation to you... so you can understand why several of those likes/views are from me..I came across your comic a week or so ago..either it was trending or maybe from stalking a forum thread...On Fridays I have an online class wherein I need to be looking at the screen...however it shows my face but not my hands XD..Saturday is also a holiday for me wherein I do most of my Tapas work,which usually involves bingeing comics or working on my own.
Hope this helps you with your query, and yes each view on each day is counted separately even though its the same person reading.

Also I dont know if you check the main pages often but there's always a chance it could have been trending and you would have been unaware about it

I think I saw you on front page, but I cannot find it anywhere now, so guess I am wrong As @drcharlotterodricks wrote, maybe you were in Fresh or Trending (if someone was binging and liking/commenting), so more people saw you.
