Whew. Busy day of work, party preparations, cooking, guests, and clean-up, but I DID manage to shoe-horn in a little over an hour of time to color. Here's part of the second panel on that page, with the edges of a few uncolored elements visible:

Yesterday I managed to finish up next Tuesday's page. Today I wasn't as productive, but I did finally finish the new cover that I've been meaning to complete for a month and a half or so.

Well I finished my inks, finished my flat colors, and was just getting started on grayscaling when I got distracted and did some oil painting for this or next week's landscape. Mr. Evil makes evil face.

@gabriellabalagna. I try to keep my weekly episodes over 12 frames and under 24. Seems to work for me giving me a good target for production while also enabling at least a few things to happen per episode. What kind of frames-per-week rate do you aim for?

Welp! guess I failed the challenge, I wasn't able to work on Auster at all yesterday I'm just gonna ignore that yesterday happened and just keep going for the rest of the month.

That seems like a good amount. For my finished comic, Derailed, I was doing 5-6 panels per week. But yeah, not much could happen with so few panels.

For the comic I'm currently developing, Kindred Not, I'm hoping to aim for 10 panels per week. It's not a lot, but at least it's doable for me.

A little late to the event, but I guess I'll try to participate too. It seems like a good way to stay motivated. Everyone's work so far has been fantastic.

As for introductions, I guess I'll call myself BarBar and simply say that I wish to continue grinding through pages so I can finally finish this god-forsaken first chapter.

Over yesterday and today, I finished making three pages for today's update, which was uploaded a few minutes ago.

@gabriellabalagna Thank youuuu! I love drawing landscapes, and now that I finally figured out how to use perspective guidelines in Procreate drawing buildings is sooooo much easier for me

Update time! Couldn't get anything done today because I had a pretty busy day... however, yesterday I eventually ended up spending 3+ hours on this, so I guess that makes up for the lack of activity today, right?

That's one of the panels for page 50. Needs some more refining and I realized that I completely forgot to draw the plants that should have gone in the pots, but man, I'm so ridiculously proud of how both the house and the car turned out <3

Yes it is!!! That way I see If all the pages flow with eachother and also I can fix a page better than wasting time on detailed page and not liking it.

BTW I thumbnailed rest of chapter one for my comic Open Flame!! I feel so accomplished... Now I need to work on the pages in detail.

I know I probably shouldn't have done this but I spend my time today re-drawing this panel from scratch cause I didn't like how the other one looked but now is done! if anything I might twitch it a little bit in Photoshop after inking it or something but for now, I'll just work in the other panels that this episode needs.

I worked around 3 hours today.

Well.. let's say God didn't willing, because I couldn't get even close to finishing the page. One panel down though, so there's only one more to go.

Well... I was intending on taking sequential photos of this panel as I colored it, but ... that didn't happen. I got into the groove and forgot. Anyway, 2 hours and 25 minutes later, panel 3 is colored. I'm pleased at how the lighting is turning out (even if the colors here aren't quite accurate to the page).

finished the art side of the very late at night comic for the week, mostly. still need to add the text balloons and work up some serious smashing special effects. ugh the special effects are not my thing....why do my characters break so much glass in this comic???? maybe I'll get in a re layout bit done tomorrow after I paint my landscape. I think imma save the oil painting for another week. Wednesday looms.

Today wasn’t super productive. Fixed the new cover I did yesterday (because this morning I realized I gave one of the characters two right hands) and figured out a rough layout for page 70. Tomorrow will be busy, but hopefully I can still get a little bit done.
